XSX - Real next gen leap for story games - As Dusk Falls vs Tell Me Why - see for yourself(vids)

I love these type of story games. I really loved The Walking Dead from telltale games and I also loved Life is Strange from dontnod.

The thing is with these next gen updates, I wasn't expecting to care about graphical upgrades specifically within this genre of games but damn, I was wrong. The graphics here really add to the immersion and emotion conveyed by the story and characters. Just watch the videos.

This is for the Xbox Series X. Will probably show up on PS5 at some point with scaled back graphics.

Story games are a hard sell for me. Not that I haven't enjoyed a few.

They can't even get the English lipsync right for this game, their own effing language? Tell Me Why?

Meanwhile As Dusk Falls looks like GTA V loading screens.

And you wonder why Telltale Games went broke. Cuz nobody plays these kind of games anymore. But hey it's on gamepass so they'll make that back eventually. Waste of 12 terfalops there.

@Pedro: Would these games be a hard sell for you even though they are included in gamepass? I mean are you going to try them?

@Xplode_games: I love me a good story game, but the bottom one ain't doin' it for me. One of the few games at the show I didn't care much for. But A Dusk Falls looks neat. Kind of unique in a way.

As Dusk Falls looked like a really bad indie game. I thought nobody could make Telltale style games that look worse than Telltale games but hey somebody's managed it.
