games like mercs2, star wars unleashed, nfs prostreet werent shown for PS2 at E3

i mean there r still ppl who havent splurged on a next gen console.

Why would you abandon a console with a 110+ million install base? That's like throwing away money.

Yeah and those games are still coming to PS2 aren't they? No point in hyping it for PS2. The fact that Sony even mentioned PS2 in their conference says a lot about the console. They will CONTINUE to support PS2 because it's still outselling 360/PS3 on a monthly basis.

PS2 is great and they did show some release games for the PS3 at E3.

Because if you release every game you have for the Playstation 2 at the same time, what motivation would that give people to buy a next-generation system when they could merely pay 50 dollars instead of over a hunred dollars for the console, plus 60 for the game.
