Elder Scrolls 4: My god, to think i was hyping this game to be the first AAAA in years, WHAT WAS I THINKING. I've never played such a horrendously unbalanced, bland, bad paced game in my entire life. Did I mention the horrific gameplay?

Assasin's Creed: So i played almost 3/4th of the game, thinking to myself "when does the fun come?". At the end of thing though, i decided that it wasnt even worth my time anymore. Not fun at all.

Final Fantasy 12: You call this a Final Fantasy game? REALLY? Where's the epic music (dont remember a single piece of music from this game, yet can still remember plenty from 7, 8, and 10)? Where's the interesting characters? Where's the story? Where's the leveling system (i hated that thing so much...)? Only thing I remember from the game is its gameplay, which, though bad to me, i can seriously see it becoming good if FF 13 improves on it well.

Yea, i had to get this off my chest, can't believe i followed up on those games as if they were going to be the best thing i ever played...

All of those games you listed were at least decent. There are far worse games. But it is your opinion, no matter how terribly bad it is.

Because people like to make fun of the series for being on its 13th installment of same old same old but then when change hits them in the face they go crying "Where's my Final Fantasy VII wah".

That or they go play Lost Odyssey.

Elder Scrolls 4: I prefer Elder Scrolls 3 over 4 but by all mine I don't think it was a bad game. It's just Elder Scrolls 3 has spells/custom spells and a better world (You can't jump over town walls in ES 4). I like the mods for ES4 better tho.

Assasin's Creed: Haven't play sry :(

FF 12: I still like it better than 8, but your right the music isn't memorable at all. I liked the gameplay tho.

That's your opinion. Quite a few people liked Oblivion, myself included. Opinions, opinions....I HATED Assassin's Creed, but I don't think it was terrible.

Terrible is Big Rigs or something to that effect.

I agree with Oblivion being a "bad" game, the others though I enjoyed, actually I just finished AC tonight and liked it alot besides the ending which sucked bigtime.

When I had played Oblivion for 30 hours I just thought to myself "wow this is not any way near as fun as Morrowind and it seems I am going to be doing the same type of quests for another 70 hours, so why bother?!" I know the game is better with mods but there are many other games I'd like to devote my time to instead. I just hope they get Fallout 3 right.

I traded it in for some ps2 games and I have only done that with 3 games in all my gaming-years(SM:Sunshine and a SC game being the other two)

Learn to not hype any upcoming games anymore. Plus don't make your decisions, based on reviews except for user reviews which seem to be abit more accurate. Works for me.

I never base my decisions on reviews, i base my decisions on what i've seen from the game in terms of previews, gameplay vids, etc. Which is why i felt so disappointed with those games in particular.

I liked all of those games! Though AC is great and bad at the same time.

FF12 story??? I guess going for a epic about war and life is too much for JRPG fans :? The characters backstories were well developed and all characters had equal meaning. They wanted to take a rest from the traditional love story and one man becoming a hero cliche.

But I do agree with you about the music. It's very good, but not memorable like Nobuos's. We all have our opinions.

About FF12, I agree on the music part and the leveling/battle system. You couldn't customize your characters and that was pretty lame and the music there really are no memorable songs. But the characters were actually great, and I liked the Voice Acting. Balthier pwns though.

Agreed. I thought the characters were a breath of fresh air since VII/VIII.
Balthier is IMO in the top best characters of the entire series.

Yeah Oblivion totally sucked as anything more than a pretty tech demo. I really can't believe how little content and variety there was. Nothing like the massive diversity of Morrowind.

Oblivion was awsome, I don't know what your talking about. Your entitled to your own opinion, but I begin to wonder how you can produce such a malformed, poor opinion. I really can't belive why people don't like that game. It was a HUUUUGE step up from Morrowind. Not to mention all the amazing mods you can add on to it to just make the experiance that much better. Even though vanilla oblivion is just as good.

I played at least 300 hours of Morrowind, but I couldnt get beyond 20 or so hours of Oblivion, it just didnt do it for me in any way. The story was uninteresting, the art style and graphics really turned me off and the world just felt bland and repetative. I really wanted to like it, I wanted to spend 300 more hours in a TES game but I just couldnt do it.

I really hope they bring back the magic Daggerfall and Morrowind had that really captivated me with TES:V.

Actually TESIV: Oblivion was too balanced. The dynamic leveling made everything balance with where your character was. Essentially ruining any need to adventure through most of the game.

I liked my FF games with a story that relates more to the characters, and less to the environment/politics. However, SE will always be damned if they do and damned if they don't with this franchise.

Honestly, TES4 was god awful compared to TES2 and 3.

The core game wasn't great, but with mods the customization options are endless. I've changed the game up so much it's become extremely fun. Quests? Who gives a ****? I just like messing around and making the world my own.

Obviously if you're going to play the console version then yes it's bad.

It's only a huge step up in terms of playability, something TES has been hurting for up to Oblivion. For once rogues really could be decent to play right from the start. And an archer based character wasn't a complete joke. Then you got typical upgrades you come to expect in sequels; graphics, sound etc.

However, aside from that it's broken, very broken. The dynamic leveling is a piss poor design choice, ruining much of the adventuring you could do.

As for mods, they're a standard, but really I don't judge games based on mods. Not everyone plays with mods, nor do they play with the same mods.

I loved Oblivion. Played it for about 75 hours total...which is the longest I've played any game, ever. I understand why people don't like it, but I loved every minute I spent with it. Got all the achievements too :-)

Assassin's Creed is difficult for me to review...the game was extremely repetitive, but it also sucked me in for hours at a time until I got to that mess they called an ending. Seriously, let's take a pretty cool story for about 95% of the game and then just throw it all out the window for some stupid finale...I hope the sequel is better, because I really did enjoy a decent amount of the game.

I bought FF12 because I thought maybe I could try getting into one JRPG. Got 3 hours in and haven't touched it since...apparently the genre is not meant for me :(

Can't say about the first two, but I agree with FFXII, mind you, I only played a few hours, but I got bored quickly. Now I have played 7,8,9,10 and I have never felt this way before. Seriously, the game just felt unmemorable to me.

ES4: I liked the game but felt as if it had sold its soul to appeal more to the mainstream audience...they completely KILLED the gameplay of the past 2 games which hardcore fans had grown to love.

AC: 7.5 Thats right gamespot...I said it...this game should have been given a 7.5 just like they gave Lost Odssey! Besides the assassinations (which were the only fun part of the game) the game was simply POOR. It almost feels like about mid way through development a developer realized he had the release date written down wrong and said "OH CRAP THIS GAME NEEDS TO BE DONE TOMORROW"....it felt that bad...It left me asking.."Well the main plot is there...but what happen to the other 50% of the game."

FFXII: Honestly never played it...I am not a fan of JRPGs but with my newly purchased PS3 I plan on getting myself into it.

Seriously, if you think oblivion was good i wondered what you would have said if you played morrowind first.

IMHO ES:II>ES:IV>ES:III>Arena. I don't even know y but I don't like Morrwind that much, the besides making spells. Its a little weird but I still don't know what I didn't like about it.

I agree with u on AC that game is not very good at all its like eating a fairly good cookie but then the cookie just keeps coming back and u have to keep eating it over and over.

Final Fantasy 12 is and will remain the biggest travesty in the Final Fantasy series. Terrible, terrible game.

Oblivion is a complete shell of the greatness that was Morrowind.

Assassin's Creed I have not played...
