Great read. Amazing how they managed 16xAF on the Playstation 3. Plus those water caustics, bokeh DOF, real time GI and SSAO, just awesome. :D First console game.. can't wait for Kingdoms.
They had 3 1/2 years to optimize there engine.Wow 1MS for all of that, so basically a ton of processing power was allowed to be used on textures/physics/AI, etc. How did they make the footprint so small?

Yea but still...1ms is like what...3% of frame budget for post processing?And ND told us that you can't get that kind of DOF in UC2 on 360 and now Crytek are doing actual bokeh?Wow...

Because ND secretly develops games on the 360 in their spare time, not to release them, but just to bash the system.amazing that a dev team who is new to consoles did this on their first try...begginers luck I suppose? :P
So, the PC version will ahve realistic moving water using vertext deform instead of consoles... nothing. Glad to see that the console versions are using the lowest spec available for pc users. Console version = lowest common denominator, while PC offers two higher settings.

Too bad they put more effort into the engine to get it running and catering to consoles. PC version had much potential from the devs. But noooo. Consoles had to drag our AAA series down. Modders will have to fix the game...AGAIN.
