That looks like PS2 graphcis but I kinda like it for the Wii. Your attempt at bashing the wii is sad. I could find a worse game looking than taht for the Wii. Go look at FarCry screenshots. Now that's a bad looking game. This though, this is respectable.

A PS2 port. Yeah, that really shows what the Wii is able to do for it's own games. Stop making these threads, there's not even a game out yet that actually was made from the start on the Wii. Ports look ugly, we get it.

i just dropped in to laugh cause ps3_ftw is hilarious especially with topics like this.... he chooses the worst possible game to compare a systems power with and then makes up some sucky tag line with the worst pixilated pictures he can find lol im no sheep but this is a completly poor attempt at system bashing

yet theres gun for xbox 360 and gundam for ps3 that says different, yeah having power behide the console helps but if the devs dont do a good job on it then its going to look bad no matter how powerful a console is.

And I cant belive you are aiming for graphics didn't you have a ps1 and ps2 look at thoughs graphics they are terrible but the ps1 and ps2 were still selling because of the brand name, you just don't want to play games different. people brought the wii to play games differently not the graphics if you want graphics get an Xbox 360 with your wii, the ps3 is trash until the price drops and it won't be this year.

The way this industry works. Currently there are two sides of console game development. Last gen (PS2, wii) and Current gen (PS3, xb360). A studio will have teams assigned to making games for both gens. The teams that have the bigger budgets are making current gen games. Since any game developed for the PS2 can also run on the wii smoothly, a game studio is going to make the most out money off a game by creating multiple versions in an attempt to increase sales. They could make wii games look better, but to maximise proffits on a game, it still has to run on PS2 since its the only old last gen system still releasing any games. So most likely, these games are being made on PS2 development software and ported to the wii. Sure the wii could do better, but when is the last time you saw a studio release an xbox1 game? If xbox1 was around I'm willing to bet you would see more xbox looking multiplats on the wii instead of PS2 looking games.

umm..... those are development shots, not the finished product. Halo 3 probably looked that crappy when they first started making it. That is the first version of the game.

The way this industry works. Currently there are two sides of console game development. Last gen (PS2, wii) and Current gen (PS3, xb360). A studio will have teams assigned to making games for both gens. The teams that have the bigger budgets are making current gen games. Since any game developed for the PS2 can also run on the wii smoothly, a game studio is going to make the most out money off a game by creating multiple versions in an attempt to increase sales. They could make wii games look better, but to maximise proffits on a game, it still has to run on PS2 since its the only old last gen system still releasing any games. So most likely, these games are being made on PS2 development software and ported to the wii. Sure the wii could do better, but when is the last time you saw a studio release an xbox1 game? If xbox1 was around I'm willing to bet you would see more xbox looking multiplats on the wii instead of PS2 looking games.Darthmatt

That would be because that 2000 console has been most developers primary platform for making games on for the last 7 years.

NG: S is not a port with a makeover, it's a remake, which is why it's not out for a long while yet. And why don't you go ahead and prove they look worse then the PS2 versions? Considering that's pretty hard to do. Plesae stop being such a fanboy.

thats exactly what I'm saying. The current gen games are costing millions to produce. They have higher staff costs, Require more R&D, higher license fees for development tools, higher hardware costs...etc. Its adds up. On the other hand, developing a PS2 game should be a cake walk for any studio who has an experienced staff. Not to mention the development tools are already payed for. Its like the difference between driving a car you payed off two years ago and buying a new one. And EA is the biggest cheap skate company around. They do anything to save a buck.

I'm not even a sheep but I'm finding myself defending the Wii almost all the time now. I usually defend the system being bashed but that seems to be the Wii all the time now. Of course it's clear why, the Wii's sales certainly matter to the cows and lemmings, whether they want to admit it or not, because they're afraid for some childish reason to admit that it's a very real possibilty that the Wii will win this generation by a landslide, and leave their console fighting for a distant second place.
