Having said that the game does look absolutely phenomenal and as a big fan of the original I’m super hyped to play this remake. I’ll wait and play the Xbox Series X version though, no biggie.

Didn't this guy also say FF13 would be the best in the series or something? FF7R might be a good game, but I don't expect anything above an 8/10. The combat looks really barebones for an ARPG.

Combat: Simple, fairly barebones ARPG combat. Square has never been good at ARPGs.

Content: 20-30 expected hours. Which isnt bad by any means. But will they keep things fresh properly stretch out 5 hours into a 30 hour experience. Midgar was well paced because they didnt stretch things out.

Story: Midgar was already the best part of 7. But the fact that padded out an intro with needless Sephiroth chanting, and honestly less atmosphere than the original (the original intro cutscene had a lot of subtleties, this one is flat out blunt) makes me kinda worried about the storytelling. From what hints I have picked up. The storyline for this game wont hold a candle compared to last year's Shadowbringers.

@Maroxad: You don't expect anything higher than a 8/10 well this has been hyped to the moon and back twice, so a LOT of reviewers will be throwing 9's & 10's for this even though it might not deserve it (and it just might) I can see it being like Death Stranding's reviews in a way in that there will be flaws and they will be brought up in reviews and then the reviewer still scoring it highly.

The first episode alone should have more content than any other remake I can think of right now, if it turns out to be quality content then I don't see why it couldn't beat full remakes as well.

It's got a year exclusivity on PlayStation and he's a hater so that's all you really need to know to decode the any hate from the peanut gallery.

FF7R will be one of the best RPGS ever made and probably the best of this generation. Hate of any kind just proves how much of a idiotic fanboy someone actually is.
