You are not a real gamer unless you Play all the Consoles

I have lurked here for many a years and its mind boggling to put yourself all in on just one of the current machines when they all have something great to offer. The real loser in the end is you for not getting to play many of the exclusive games. WII has its great first party classic Nintendo stuff, ps3 might be in last place sales wise but its always been more expensive and to me the exclusives have that high production feeling to me, Its true the 3rd party game seem to be emulated off the 360 but i see that changing as of late, and would say they are both even on that now. The 360 again is a must own, even if your on your 4th machine like me.. Craptastic hardware, but great exclusives and great online community, you pay for it true, but i think that makes it a more inclusive online club atmosphere.360 also has a good list of exclusives not to miss. Last but not least the PC, love it or hate it but world of warcraft and afew other great games can be played, and it still has the best online presence. Everyone is going to like one more then the other, and that has changed for me back and forth on what system i like the best, in the end its the games that matter and i dont like to miss any of them. I give credit where credit is due, if anything microsoft has made me have to buy another console this Gen, I aplogize in advance for the bad grammer, hard to type on this thing.

sorry i cant afford all the consoles...still i will continue to be a gamer by enjoying games and making it my hobby.Its like someone saying your not a bassist if you dont use ampeg or something *shrugs* gear shouldnt make you less of a gamer or bassist as long aa you play and first and foremost enjoy it.

Given the amount of free time required to make owning three platforms worthwhile, such a person probably wouldn't be able to afford all three. Because most likely they are still of school age.

People who have to go to work are unlikely to have that much free time.

I think what the TS was trying to say was, with all the bickering about this or that console being better than the other, your kind of short changing yourself with all the great console specific games on each console?I could be wrong though.

I was a real gamer when I played NES and only NES. I was a real gamer when I played 360 and only 360. Me buying my PS3 and Wii doesn't make me anymore of a gamer. Flawed logic is flawed.

As a former PC gamer and avid gamer I've come to realize the truth in what the TC is trying to say. If you can afford it you should consider owning more than one console. I just recently bought the PS3 to add to my Xbox360 and am really enjoying the freedom to play any of the games I like the looks of. I think both systems offer comparable features and I enjoy playing games on both equally. It's nice to finally be able to play some of those Sony exclusives.

Being a rich bastard is not the same as being a gamer. But what's a real gamer anyway? Why don't you change the tittle for

"You are not a hard-core gamer unless you Play all the Consoles". It makes more sense this way.
