You can walk FO4's map from one edge to the opposing side in less than 12 minutes, with barely any enemy encounters. In-game footage looks drastically different from PR shots. Will Fallout 4 still be one of the most aggressively defended game of the generation?

@ultimateimp: Can't wait, looks good. I'm sure it will have some sort of metro underground map or something similar just like Fallout 3--increasing the overall world size. Dude was trying to avoid encounters...........but even so he was met with encounters......not sure what you wanted. I'm still waiting for the Day 1 patch release details. Your PR shot and in-game shot is the same one. Also, shots shown in-game from shows are usually on the PC. Your in-game shot is the PS4 version. Again, not sure what you expected.

The larger issue will be how poor the game mechanics are, how shallow of a RPG it is especially in comparison to its most recent predecessor New Vegas, how bloody awful the writing is from Bethesda, and of course it'll be unpolished as well on a butt ugly engine for a developer with more than enough resources that none of this acceptable.

But no, it's certified Triple A and GOTY. Carry On.

Depends on who you ask, and what times we live in. MGS5, and Witcher 3 are both very hugely hyped games that have been worked on for several years, and they just released this year. Bethesda no longer has a monopoly on this type of games, they got competition. They no longer are the only option, the rest really answers itself.

To be fair, Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall had a world that was thousands of times bigger than any other Bethesda game since. Daggerfall's world was as big as Great Britain. Thousands of times larger than Morrowind. Yet that didn't stop the fanboys from screeching that Morrowind is the greatest Elder Scrolls game of all time.

So let's actually see what Fallout 4's world looks like before we start getting all doom-and-gloom, OK?
