I played that part in Super Mario Sunshine on the theme park world where you have to climb the back of a rollercoaster and the camera gets real jacked; basically was a step away from hanging myself.
Nahh im not insane like that. But either way lately ive been trying to do the challenge tower on mortal kombat And theres one with shang tsung and I have to beat shao kahn and I have goteen pretty pissed but not furious lol
I don't start reevaluating life, just why in the hell did I get the game in the first place. I do it far less because I usually rent to own, at least on the consoles. They immediately go back in the mail. No love lost.
Chief among things that will immediately make me stop playing a game is bad controls and /or camera.
If I ever lose THAT bad I question why im even playing the game sometimes. Doesint happen alot though since when I do lose its never like me getting destroyed.
Kind of. Sometime after 2006, there was a point where I realized that I wasn't getting any younger, my reflexes weren't getting any better, and I wasn't able to keep up with the amount of time that the rest of the multiplayer world was putting in. Not long after that, streaks and unlocks started showing up in every single game, which didn't help matters. I wouldn't go so far as to say I reevaluated my life, but it certainly killed off most of the interest I had in multiplayer.

OMG, Kingdom Hearts made me rage so hard when I was a kid. I got stuck on the Alice in Wonderland world for MONTHS and I didn't know what to do, I literally threw the game in the garbage and never looked back.

Sephiroth aside I got stuck in Monstro because my t.v was messed up and the brighness was too dark so it was pitch black.
Then I got to Riku boss battle and got stuck for like weeks playing every day.
After I won I finally ran into the chrnabog for months I was stuck.
I started when I was 10 and I didnt beat it untill like the beginning of 8th grade so like almost 3 years. Im 18 now and still get intimidated replaying it.
No because I don't let my gaming triumphs and failures define who I am in real life. You shouldn't let things like that get you down. Instead of getting upset about it, look at it as a valuable lesson. Learn patience and look at your gaming problems from different angles, then with a peaceful and focused mind you can break through the walls that hold you back!

I used to play FFXI and was obsessed with getting some stupid item to drop from some Notorious Monster. No matter how many times I would kill the monster the item would never drop. I would get angry and furious over it. And then one day I thought real hard about my life and canceled my subscription. I've been an awesomer person ever since then.
I almost NEVER play competetive, when I do, I get more annoyed by stuff like people always using Ken in SSFIV, over actually losing. I play games to chill, and I do a lot of chilling.

I started FFXI a few times, but somewhere around early to mid 20s, I would always quit. I liked the game, but I felt it needed more modernization. Too bad FF14 was so bad.
I mostly get that after I beat a game (sort of like "wow...I spent all these hours playing a game when I could've done something...meaningful." :P). Then there's those moments of self-loathing when I reach the level cap in an MMORPG where I look in the mirror and reflect on those moments where I could've been a doctor, or a lawyer...but no. I'm sitting in my room all that time spending all those days behind my computer accomplishing the kind of pride that's utterly fictional :P.
