You gotta understand why we dislike PC gaming.

First of all and the most important, games. Its all about games, and in PC i wouldnt have acess to some of the best franchises in the gaming industry. Just to name a few:

God of War, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, Mario, Gran Turismo, Ico Triology, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone... And so on.

Consoles, especially ps3, have a whole lot more variety of games, and in general they are better. Most of PC exclusives are RTS, MMORPG and FPS. We really dont care about those.

Then thers the fact that you gotta keep upgrading your system. You will deny this, but its true. And thers a whole bunch of problems when playing on PC, you get errors, and other kinds of stuff. Its annyoing.

Consoles are totally different. You buy a new console every 6 or more years. PS2 lasted me for 7-8 years. No need for upgrades, and all those other troubles related with PC gaming. Just buy a new game, pop it into the console, sit on the couch or bed, and your ready to play.

I think no one would even care for PC if it werent cause of piracy. I doubt thers many people out there that PC game and dont pirate their game. I have no idea how PC gaming is still alive.

1.and with the consoles you miss out on a lot as well. if you buy one console you miss out. it applies to all platforms. theres actually just as much of a variety on the pc if not more.

2.you dont HAVE to keep upgrading anymore than youd change your console. the ps2 lasted about 6 years. less really. 2007 was the end year. so the average lifespan is 6 years at best really. my pc from 2004 still plays games. so no you upgrade if you want to. not because you have to.

3. you get errors and problems on the consoles as well

5.its alive because games sell well and developers make bigger profits than on the consoles

If consoles continue to attempt emulating PC's, I can see them going obsolete in the next few generations. Why would you want a product that trys to emulate a PC in every way (but isn't as good) when you could just get a gaming PC?

Meh I don't dislike PC gaming, just the "holy than thou" attitude of Hermits on SW, which is kind of funny considering that the system hasn't got a AAA exclusive (other than sims 3 :?) in quite a while If I remember correctly.
