You guys kill me with this A AA AAA Hype Flop stuff.....

every day its, "hey man, you (system supporters term here) hyped (game) AAA, but it was only AA so itsaFLOPPPZZORZZZ!!!!

or

Hey man, (game) only got a 9.1, but you (system supporters term here) said it was gonna get a 9.5, what a SUXXORZZgame!!!111!

You guys worry about this a little too much it seems.

Bottom line is, if someone likes the game, and it sells well, it aint a flop.

Seriously, we should all play our games and stop worrying so much about A, AA, AAA and just play what we like and stop doing this passive/aggressive behavior of trying to get other people to think that their beloved game of choice was a waste of money. if they like it, then thats all that matters.

We can be friends, even if they did buy a PS3.......

There are two sides to every argument. And on system wars, a thread like this can either been seen as a logical post, or damage control. Whilst I tend to view this as logic, this is system wars, and such logic is quickly dismissed as "damage control".

Whilst you may not care, If you'd have said "GAMESPOT IS BIASED" or "R&C IS OFFICIALLY AAA", you'd have probably gotten a more quality line of responces. and possibly more laughs.

I didnt say anything about bias because as anyone should no, there is ALWAYS bias in the media. Its impossible to write and publish anything without some kind of bias showing. Its not then end of the world though.

Your point of view is great and all, but sales cannot be included. In knowing that Hannah Montana outsold Okami, I should have enough of support for my argument.

I suppose I'll try to argue against your main point. People like it when their interests are commonly shared. If two friends have opposing opinions on a particular piece of entertainment, they will defend their point until mercy is given, or until one of them is swayed. It's just the way people are. In relating this back to your argument, using professional opinions, and opinions commonly shared by the population to back one's opinion is worth a lot from an argument standpoint. Therefore, reviews do matter, and should continue to matter when entertainment is discussed.

You speak the truth. People in SW worry too much about things that don't matter and ignore the things that do matter.

Unfortunetly SW logic is a powerful thing. Anyone who disagrees will just say "If you don't like it then leave".

yeah i guess......my point is ratings dont always tell us everything. One of my favorite games for the original 360 only got like an 8.5. Mercenaries was a really awesome game, but it wasnt loved by the reviewers.

Also, on the 360 the game I have played more than any other is burnout revenge. I think it got an 8.8 or something. Surely not the best reviwed game i have, but i have played i more than any other........interesting...
