You know what really grinds my gears

How on XBL and PSN ur not able to rent new release movies ( ie...Hangover, inglorious Basterds etc ) in HD....ur only allowed to buy in standard definition....what's up with that?

I believe it's a movie licensing agreement, that's the only real reason...or so I was told by some folks at a movie forum I visit. It makes sense, give those new releases some time to sell.

Yes, and with that Blu-Ray you will get much better real HD quality, more features (Audio Commentary, Various Language tracks, Deleted scenes, subtitles,), better and higher quality sound, etc. ;)

To answer though, Blockbuster and other rental companies pay a huge premium to movie companies to rent out Hot new titles (As the movie companies know these rentals cannabalize their Blu/DVD sales). :P

Trust me, I know it's not as convenient, but these movie companies are careful.:)

I have been pretty impressed with the "1080P" Zune streaming picture quality though...but yeah the disc is the much better value.....I see what ur saying and it makes sense.....but I wanna stream district 9 now!!!!:cry:
