I've been a lemming for a long time, but it's apparant that microsoft has become very arrogant. First the RROD's (which I have gotten two times), then the massively overpriced peripherals. I mean I want to download shadow complex, but I can't because I still have that **** 20 gigs harddrive and it's so full I can't almost add another savegame. It's no problem for me to buy another harddrive. I recently bought a 2.5 hdd 500 gigs for 100 euros for my laptop. But spending 100 euros for 60 gigs????

I recently got myself a slim and noticed that there is A LOT of free content, there is some awesome themes which you can get for free. Sure live has some free content as well but it's scarce, and really is it necessary to pay 3 euros for a theme when I'm paying 40 euros for live? It's like MS likes to rip us off, and I put up with it for a long time.

Now it seems they've even given up with releasing big budget first party games, while sony is spending big money on awesome first party games like uncharted 2.

I love my 360 and bought a lot of games for it, i'm not gonna stop being a lemming. But I just want ms to stop being so damn greedy. Therefore I'm glad sony is upping the ante, hopefully Ms ends up third soon. Competition is a good thing and it will only benefit us consumers.

That's why I don't pay for Live. I download XBLA games once in a while but I will not pay for online gaming.

I want a ps3 so bad, Im really getting tired of my 360, was super awesome when i got it, but now it just seems like im missing out on so much by not having a ps3. Ive always loved sony. Its just the 360 was cheaper at the moment... wish i could go back in time and just save a bit more :x

Sony is doing what it did with PS2...give the xbox a few golden years and then smash it into the ground.

What are you talking about? Sony is still supporting the PS2. When the 360 came out the original xbox was dropped faster than a meteor dropping out of the sky.

I'm sure in the end you will be glad you have both.

MS actually gives money and help to 3rd party devs to make games on its sytem (at the cost of making it a timed excluive) doesn't sound too bad. Sony doesn't give a crap about 3rd party games (hence the ToV delima). but you're expecting WAY to much you want MS to give away games for free? they already give like a bazilion demos for free and thier cutting fable 2 into chapters and offer the firstone for free (to promote Fable 3) don't spend moey on exclusives? you don't need good graphix to have a quality game, but that doesn't mean that MS doesn't have any upcomming Powerhouses wait for reach, crackdown 2, Forza 3, Gears 3, and numerous others.

Well, I'm a Nintendo fan, but I do wish Sony well in overtaking the 360. I might buy one myself.

all 3 companies are greedy but sony at least does that little bit extra so that mentally you feel the product is worth the extra money(most sony products are usually higher priced than the competition but they are usually verty good quality like their tvs to where if you have the money you want the sony product over the competition). Whereas MS will do the minmum and still overcharge you and act like they are the ones doing you the favour. Don't get me wrong the 360 has an excellent library and live is still the best service even if you pay for it but doing things like pretty much abandoning first party development , and buying exclusives seem like very lazy business tactics that they are using because they have been successful this gen and then they go and gouge the customers who supported them and gave them the money to do this(nickel and diming for themese, overcharging for accessories, not properly addresssing various issues with the hardware just extending the warrenty). Its just a poor business model and I think MS is going to pay for their laziness in the next couple years, good marketing will only work for so long. Maybe they will wake up because right now the two companies are going in opposite direction sony is hungry and constantly improving its strategy(new ips, varying different genres, courting indie developers, big funding for its new and estabvlsihed ips, improving marketing
)whereas Ms is sitting back and hoping its established franchises can carry them through this gen ahead of sony with some fancy marketing and the strength of its online service.

MS need a HUGE slice of humple pie. SONY have took theres and have turned out better 'cause of it. The only way MS are ever going to beat Sony (And i don't mean in sales, i mean in customer satisfaction) if for them to realise that there is something to be said about treating gamers right.

The PS3 was released at a HUGE price tag with in my opinion, nothing worth buying for it. Yet, I, and millions of others went out and bought it anyway, 'cause of the way SONY had treated us the past generations.

You got the RROD two times? Pfft... I got mine five times! And I'm waiting for Sony to put PS2 backward compatibility on there PS3's again before I buy one. But I hope to buy a PS3 before the gen wraps up... or I'll wait for the PS4.

The hard drive is definitely overpriced. When I looked at both the 360 and the PS3 before I got my console, I knew that whichever one I picked I would inevitably get an upgrade sooner or later. And the 250gb I have in my ps3 right now was only $120 CDN when I got it early last year.

My 360 has died five times and my PS3 has died twice. And my comps been acting up lately uuuuuuuuuuuugh.

Hello nobody? MS may have some fans like that, but they will never have the same fanbase as SONY. The Playstation brand is just too strong. Generations of gamer have grew up playing there games.

yeah gamerpics and themes shouldnt cost....or atleast they should be free for gold members
