Games that have been announced for Wii so far:

1) Metroid: Other M ( Team Ninja and Nintendo)

2) Sin and Punishment ( clasic cult game return)

3) Mario Galaxy 2 (Yoshi steps up for an adventure in space)

4) No More Heroes 2 (Time for some killing with a vengeance with Travis Touchdown)

5) Red Steel 2 (Sword fighting 1:1 and in glorious stylized graphics)

6) Supr Mario Brothers Wii (Side Scrolling Madness with 4 players)

7) The Conduid ( sci-fi first person shooter, online mode, wii spea)

8) Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers ( Square Enix delivers)

9) Monado: Begining of the World ( JRPG madness - New IP)

10) Silent Hill: Shattered Memories ( The horror returns)

11) The Grinder ( Vampires, Undead and Werewolfs against 4 people. L4D clone game)

12)Gladiator A.D. ( Fighting game combining RPG elements)

While Microsoft and Sony have shown all their guns at their presentation Nintendo seems to have chosen NOT to reveal major games which are likely the following:

1) New RETRO MEGATON game ( already revealed to be true by Reggie)

2) Zelda Wii ( In development for 4 years now - It seems that we will see a trailer before the end of the year)

3) More Nintendo New IPs and sequels that we know they exist but they wont reveal them. Seems like Nintendo wants to show off in the next expos of TGS or Liepzig or even in one of their own shows.

Now compare all of the above with last year!

Dont be blinded because Sony and Microsoft unveiled their cameras and controllers which are coming NEXT YEAR (for SONY) and unknown for MS. They have shown games that are awesome but so did Nintendo at this E3 which is miles away from what we saw last year.

Also dont mention PSPGO because it needs something more than just a sliding screen to beat the beast that is called Nintendo DSi and DS Lite.

This E3 was WON by NONE of the companies. They all showed good things.

Professor64 over and out!

1. Okay.
2. Cult with the import crowd?
3. Okay. This is a good thing.
4. Don't care, but can see people being excited.
5. We'll see. It doesn't have the best of predecessors.
6. Eh.
7. Looks like garbage.
8. Side game. Pssh.
9. ???
10. "Returns?" It's not Silent Hill at all.
11. It looks ok.
12. Looks like garbage.

Yeah, the Ninty hate should be gone. If you hate the game line-up coming out from Nintendo this year I think that's more evidence of some sort of deep rooted psychosis rather than actual game quality.

It's a pity I couldn't watch Ninty's press conference, a new Super Mario Bros and Galaxy as well as a new Metroid already has me pumped up. And I once called Ninty a sellout.

Meh, at this point in time, Crystal Chronicles is as much of the Final Fantasy world as the Tactics games are. I agree that Nintendo had a much better E3 than last year, I woudl hardly call it a failure. Personally, I thought Sony's and Microsofts were better but Nintendo's was still right up there when it came to quality.

I've been a big critic of the Wii's lineup thus far, but what was announced at this year's E3 has blown me away. It looks like I won't be using my Wii just for Brawl anymore...

Games that have been announced for Wii so far:

1) Metroid: Other M ( Team Ninja and Nintendo)

nintendoboy16

That's one of the reasons why Nintendo's E3 failed this year. Why does Team Ninja have Metroid now? WHY!?

2 REASONS: 1) RETRO studios have managed to persuade Nintendo to let them handle another MEGATON game. There were reports that RETRO studios have been working on a major new game and it would be announced at E3. But Nintendo changed their plans and decided to reveal it later this year. RETRO Studios have been hard at work with another game because they wanted to do something else beside the Metroid series.

2) Nintendo, after Retro Studios wanted to do something different decided to make another Metroid game, but with RETRO out of the game ( temporarily, dont worry) they said " why dont we try something different this time around". So they teamed up with Team Ninja and created Metroid Other M which is something like Ninja Gaiden meets Metroid Prime. You have the choice of changing between first person and 3rd person view, new gameplay with a lot more than just fighting, huge bosses, and interesting deep story as we have seen so far (well...thats what i think anyway)

Its a new direction of the game but it does not mean its forever. RETRO studios wanted to do something else so Nintendo entrusted the next Metroid to someone else. It does not mean that Retro studios will never make another Metroid game again. They are a 2nd party to Nintendo so....they own them.

They failed their E3 conference because they spent 20 minutes on Wii Sports Resort, and another 15-20 talking about how EPIC they are with the casuals. And most of those games are 3rd party. It is a sad time when a Nintendo console is being held up (with good game albeit) by 3rd parties. Just because they showed a trailer of all the core games, but actually spent substantial time on the casual games is telling as it is. I just bought a 360, but this will be the year of the Wii for me. But it won't be because of Nintendo. I don't give a crap about New Super Mario Bros. DS, err I mean Wii. That is the only Nintendo game besides Resort and Fit being released this year. They can announce all they want at this point, and I will love them. They won all of E3 for me at this point, but their conference was terrible.

to be fair they didn't really focus on "game" games till the last 15 minutes of the conference. Although they did sprinkle a couple of good DS announcements here and there. (golden sun DS wooh!)

I still wouldn't trust Team Ninja with the Metroid name, no matter what the reason. I personally think Rare (if they were still with Nintendo) would do a better job with Metroid. Not only that, "other M" sounds similar to a James Bond title.

 at the pic. All the consoles have games coming the Wii's are no better then any other but out of the 3 conferences Nint had the worst. They had too much talking at a point, too much gimmick at a point leaving the last few mins for MG2 and Metroid. And all other games only seemed to get a few secs trailer. And in comparison to other conferences it kinda flopped. Comparison has never been the Wii's friend but this year with each company showing their motin tech put Wii to a certain shame. That Metroid hit me hard though...I really wasn't expecting it I still don't feel entirely happy with it....the shock of it was a bit much for me. Looks epic and all but its just too different too quickly, a change like that shouldn't be thrown out so swiftly...almost gave me a heart attack when I saw it and Ninja's logo on it...seriously I thought it was Sin and Punishment when it began or even Starfox when it had that space bit at the beginning...it was not the nicest suprise I ever had.

Nintendo's conference had me bored to tears until the Metroid trailer, which almost had me ready to jump in line and buy a Wii. Overall, I give their show a D. Pretty bad overall, but it had some highlights.

Didn't watch the conference, but seeing 2 Marios and a Metroid announced is a pretty f***ing big deal, especially because they're in addition to some very promising 3rd party games. Who cares about the conference itself? Nintendo's conference is simply trying to get REAL media coverage, not just System Wars hype. That should have been obvious to anyone slightly familiar with Nintendo's marketing strategy, or anyone who has any knowledge of marketing in general.

People are only dissing the Wii because it's the easiest thing to do at the moment like with the PS3 when it first came out. In reality, they have no clue what they're talking about. It was a good conference.

You know, comments like this reminds me of SSSOOO much back in 2000....

"What does an unknown, new start-up, no good to god western developer has to do with Metriod?!?!?!?" AKA Retro......We all knew how THAT turned out did we?

My comment? Don't judge a book by its cover. Wait and see how it go first! Yeah, Retro did a PHENOMENAL job with the Prime trilogy with Nintendo's help!

All of those games still hold one major flaw: They're on the Wii. The Wii is not a core gamer system.

All of those games still hold one major flaw: They're on the Wii. The Wii is not a core gamer system.

and this is why quote un-quote gamers make me sick, it seems gamers no longer care about great games just outward appearances and that is just sad

All who say Nintendo's conference failed because of the presentation forget this: No one will remember anyone'spresentation in a couple days. The actual shows are only memorable when they're embarassingly bad like Sony '06. The announcements are what matter, and Nintendo won in that regard.

I never thought Nintendo failed. Once I heard the SMG music I was like ahhh yeahhh!!!! Metroid M also looked amazing as well. Just those two alone made the it a success for me.

They won all of E3 for me at this point, but their conference was terrible.Saxsoon
no they didnt fail, Microsoft failed because the biggest thing they brought to their system was already on sonys system, they started their show with rockband, sony started with uncharted, nintendo started with super mario bros, they moved onto downloadable games, sony moved onto MAG...the little Montage sony had in the middle was enough to take microsofts whole show if only they had time to slow it down....

Yes, Nintendo has plenty of games coming up, but Sony and MS just beat them at the motion-control game.

Thanks for the laugh. Seriously though, unless Sony's and Microsft's motion controls can replace dual analog, they will fail. Both of their systems seem limmited and will be regulated to one or two good games with a ton of shovelware as a result.

Exactly, this is something A LOT of people need to realize. Saying that it will fail, however, is to harsh and jumping the gun to fast, but everyone has to realize that what they showed isnt even complete and isnt intended to replace the control system. That is the flaw i see in both of them, especial the Natal (which looks and sounds amazing on paper but is to hard and situational in practice) Same with Sony's motion control, its not meant to replace the controllers just meant for specific types of games like the Eye Toy. The Wii-mote, however, is needed to play all Wii games, not just a few but all (with very few exception's)

I agree. Nintendo is dominating '09 so far with these new games.

kingkui
Wow you are out of line with that statement. I am a huge Nintendo fan but the showing was just ok. If they showed Zelda they would of had a chance to take best show but without it they really did just ok. Sony still has the best overall lineup with the multiplats and top notch exclusvies.

how do you explain this? can you link to games that support their motion controls? WM+ ships next week, and has 5 actual games that support it; that release in the next week to 6 months (tiger woods, grand slam tennis, red steel 2, virtual tennis, wii sports 2). show me these games from MS and Sony that support their tech. please, im interested.
