You still think the next Xbox will require you to be online?

All though the respected magazine Edge said "We are certain in our source" I still think a always online requirement would be a deal breaker for many. Im always online myself, but it will prevent me from using my Xbox when I go away on boat, military and bringing it with me elsewhere.

all the rumors about the PS4 were true and the same source was the one that leaked the next-Xbox info too. Unless M$ does some very last minute changes the specs are already there and they are crap.

Yet all of the PS4 rumors have come true thus far. That's pretty amazing given that rumors are usually faulty to some degree. I think the PS4 is furher along than the 3rd box and that is why the rumors have been accurate. 

If the rest of the rumors are true, PS4 will be $429 & $529 sku's at launch and PSN will still be free with PS+ being pay. 

If your always online, it means more ad revenue for microsoft so yes, and will probably charge the use more for xbl because it will be more expensive to always keep you online.

well...it is something you could expect a company like MS to try.  Their fans let them get away with so much already, why would'nt they search for new ways to get deeper in their pockets.

i have been online every second this gen anyway and if you are out on a boat or camping just be out on a ****ing boat or camp and put the console away for a couple of days poindexter.

I have yet to see a reason to believe any of these negative rumors are true.

I'm hoping for a good showing from MS but I'm not entirely sure if MS is going to be directly competing with Sony and instead of Apple, Google, etc.

To me that's what's concerning about these next Xbox rumors. 

I'm ok with online activation of some sort, but requiring a constant connection? That's just stupid. My wireless signal drops for a couple of seconds multiple times a day, does that mean I'm going to be kicked out of any game I'm playing? I hope not.

I'm %90 sure the Nextbox will fail.
