Greatly looking forward to it, but I'm also kind of "meh" because it'll probably kill the DS much sooner than it deserves. Sure hope it doesn't keep the next couple of years worth of DS games from coming here.
I'm not much of a handheld gamer anymore I'm afraid. Although I own DS, PSP, GBA, and Cellphones...I just don't get down much unless I'm traveling...so It's pretty low. I like to buy them since handhelds are cheap, but $300 isn't worth something I will fiddle with for a few hours and shelve. I'll wait for the 3DS Lite and the sub $200 marker.
I was very excited for it. I still am to an extent, but I've been buying a few too many games and, on principle, the high price tag doesn't sit well with me. If it is over $229 I'm likely not going to buy it.
And the other factor is that IF I do buy it, I'm actually worried that I won't get anything else done. Old School Virtual Console games in 3D? Gimmicky, but I don't care--that sounds awesome to me. So in ways I'm more excited for the 3DS release than any other console, but I'm hesitant because I worry about the amount of money I'll put into it after I get it.
it will probably be the low standard games all mobile platforms get, though the gimmick of it might make som fans happy.
Medium. I need pricing info. Then again, I'll probably get just so I can pick up Pokemon when it comes out (my DS has been broken for about 2 years).
Really high I just hope I can afford it when it launches if not I will be waiting a few months to get some money to purchase a 3DS.
It's been 6 years. Let the poor thing go to rest already. :PGreatly looking forward to it, but I'm also kind of "meh" because it'll probably kill the DS much sooner than it deserves. Sure hope it doesn't keep the next couple of years worth of DS games from coming here.

Medium/low. There's plenty games I'd play if I had the system, but I'd initially only be buying it for one or two. There's a few hiccups as far as lefties are concerned, I don't like the aesthetic (the structural design or the GUI), the price looks like it's going to be steep, and in general, I can live without it. Not to sound like a fanboy, I'd much prefer a much more sophisticated (and inevitably ambidextrous) PSP2.
Game Boy Advance had its last game release in 2008, four full years after the release of the DS. Games like Drill Dozer, DK King of Swing, Donkey Kong Country 3, Final Fantasy IV Advance, Final Fantasy V Advance, Final Fantasy VI Advance, Grand Theft Auto Advance, Gunstar Super Heroes, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Mario Party Advance, Mario Tennis: Power Tour, Mother 3, and Yggdra Union all came out after the Nintendo DS did. DS is still going to get games for years to come, even if it is no longer the platform of focus.Greatly looking forward to it, but I'm also kind of "meh" because it'll probably kill the DS much sooner than it deserves. Sure hope it doesn't keep the next couple of years worth of DS games from coming here.

Yet 300 for an ipod isnt.... And for the last time, it will not be 300 here in the states....Zero after I saw the price. anything over 200 for a handheld is ridiculous.

My expectation are high, and will get one but just not at launch.
interested in the tech behind it but not all interested in the device. Most of the games are remakes (typical Nintendo). Out of the new content nothing interests mehiryu3Only three games are remakes and only two of them are from Nintendo those 2 are Ocarina of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 3D. The only other Remake I know about is Snake Eater 3D.
The other games that are questionable have know information on whether or not they are remakes.
Depends what you mean by explosion... oh wait, it's probably right either way :PSaltyMeatballsThis.
Not really I'm seeing only 3 remakes and 3 ports from what I can tell. Not too impressed right now. The current library of games consists mostly of ports/remakes. The steep price is another turn off.

The current library of games consists mostly of ports/remakes.Pdiddy105Sure, if you automatically label anything from an existing IP a "port/remake".
mine's not on "exploding" because a) i've already played it, so i'm not dying to find out how awesome the 3D is and b) we still don't have many info on the 3 titles i'm dying to play: MGS, megaman legends 3 and the new paper mario game.BrunoBRSYou played or you saw the 3DS demo at E3? People actually played 3DS? WTF give me answers, man :P
Depends what you mean by explosion... oh wait, it's probably right either way :P Ever since E3 my hype has been really high, the games they showed, the improved graphics, 3D! How can you not be excited?SaltyMeatballs
That little Zelda clip you have there looks awesome make's the 3DS a first day buy for me, just imagine playing the most epic Zelda in 3D is going to be awesome
Wow the fact that 54% of System Wars is at High or Exploding is ridiculous, when over half of System Wars is really excited over something it's obviously doing something right considering with 3 or 4 factions usually between 1/3 and 1/4 support something.

I don't know if it's a launch game, but I'm also excited for it. A list of Japanese launch games came out and OoT 3-D is on there. If the list was the same for the US I'd get that and SSFIV 3-D with my 3DS. Hopefully it isn't the same though and some different ones comes out, I'd be happy with those two games but it'd leave me waiting for MGS3-D and RE:R, which would piss me off.High. Although the launch lineup disappoints me (minus Super Street Fighter IV). I still want to play the 3DS due to it being a new Nintendo handheld.nintendoboy16Yeah the Japanese launch lineup is pretty small and all I will get is probably SSFIV and OoT, but they'd hold me off for a few months while more came out. When I got my DS all I had was the Super Mario 64 remake and I was totally happy with it, I just waited a few months and the awesome started flooding in, I imagine it'll be the same. I mean the 3DS isn't out yet, developing for it can't be easy yet, it's gonna be a few months extra before the great stuff comes out.
My hype is still on exploding because I want Ocarina of Time on a handheld to go. Also Pokemon Black and White should come out around that time so I'll have the DS' swan song to go along with it.

Though are there any other sources? I saw it on Softpedia only, would like more confirmation.
