Your favorite console EVER!

Sorry about the lack of poll options. I tried to post the ones I though would get the most votes.

Its been to long since one of these has been done. an I remind you. I said your favorite not the best.

I choose the N64. It might not have had the most great games of any system, but the good ones were absolutely phenomenal. I spent countless nights play multiplayer games with my friends and it had the greatness of games like LoZ:OoT, MM, and SM64.

correction: I meant console not system.

The Super Nintendo. It has one of, if not the largest and most diverse libraries of any console. It took gaming into a glorious direction, many series realizing their full potential and soaring to heights not thought possible before. So many classics, superb graphics, beautiful music, and great capabilities. Plus it had downloadable games long before Xbox Live Arcade. It's called Satellaview, history buffs.Video_Game_King

Sums it up for me. Best console ever and nothing has come close since IMO.

Sega CD/32x killed it.

Those were commercial and critical failures. They delivered on only one promise, and it definately wasn't to extend the lifespan of the Sega Genesis. The Genesis didn't even have any computing advantage. Blast processing was just a marketing term for faster computing. The SNES had Mode 7 and Super FX, both of which were put to more than novelty use.

Xbox 360 is making me REALLY happy. but it still has a lot to go to make it to the top.

The Atari Jaguar! An incredible 64 BITS of RAW PROCESSING POWER!!! Do the math! 64 bits > 16 bits! Several great games including Tempest 2000, Alien Vs. Predator, Battlesphere, a Doom port, a Wolfenstein port, and... uh... I think that's it... Oh well! Still awesome!

Also featuring the most amazing controller ever made! Designed with no ergonomics in mind, with three buttons arranged in such a ways as to actually make it HARDER to access the already hard to reach pause and option buttons!

PS1 by far.

Amiga 500 close second even if its more a computer it seemed more of a cross of console&comp.

Really enjoyed Ps2, 360 and N64 and DC was very under-rated even by me til near the end.

The N64 so far running away with it.

How strange as near the end of the N64's life it had started the slight demise by Ninty and the rise of Sony. The PS1 ruled the world that gen and Ninty soon became quite uncool.

I loved the N64 and it had some of the Greatest games but the PS1 had the more rounded game library of good games. For every Great N64 release their was 10 good games on the PS1. Also a lot of cr*p as well.

Interesting to see Ninty being so popular around here. Nice to see wonder if MS will ever get slight nods in ten years time with the 360 or origninal Xbox...you never know...

PlayStation 1. Hands down.

The PS1 made console gaming for me.

Sega Genesis comes in close 2nd

Secret of mana, LOZ:link to the past, super mario world but then the PS1 had FF7+9, MGS and chrono cross, xenosaga....
