Your Favorite Developer and why?

*Note there is a difference from Publishing. Like saying EA and Mass Effect 2 but bioware actually developed it for example.

Mine is Rockstar games:

I love Open world games and Nobody even comes close to doing it as good As Rockstar. Red Dead Redemption is easily one of my Favorite games this Generation and shows how far ahead they are in the Open World genre compared to the competiton. GTA 4, Xpansions, Midnight Club, Manhunt, etc. Rockstar right now is my favorite.

GTA VC, GTA SA, GTA 4 and now even Red Dead Redemption make my top 10 list all time.

Firaxis.

They make nothing but Sid Meier games.

Nobody else has that record of consistency or quality.

Capcom.

They brought us Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and Megaman.

Retro Studios because they made the best Game last gen, IMO (Metroid Prime)

Black Isle Studios; Fallout 1-2 and Planescape Torment. Haven't tasted such rpg goodness since then.

Team Ico. Their games are masterpieces.

Bungie. Because they made Halo and it's the best series evar! They were even the first to include jetpacks in multiplayer for Reach. Then GG stole the idea and put it into Killzone 3...lol

For real though. Probably Epic. Gears 2 is a travesty, but they were my first true love with Gears 1. Gears 3 theyshould have everything sorted out finally.

If i had to pick 1, then its NAUGHTYDOG.

Uncharted 1, 2.

Use to be Blizzard (they went down hill after 2006).

Always have had a soft spot for Capcom

RE series,Street fighter series,DMC series and more games i could care to list the past 13 years or so.

Bungie/Valve.

2 of the better developers for community interaction. Bungie probably is overall, but Valve has really stepped it up. even on the 360 with their addition to an integrated blog.

I've had the most fun with their games, and they both provide some beast co-op experiences. might not be anything to write home about graphically, but they're still my favorites.

Nintendo

Reason Why: Zelda

Nihon Falcom.

The company that popularized the JRPG genre and the est dev in the genre.

Bungie for me. They gave me Halo, and I appreciate their interaction with their community and their humor. Seems like they really enjoy their work.

Even though I dislike Activision, I'm willing to look the other way to support Bungie.

Bethesda and Bioware, between them the ARE western RPGs and have broguht RPGs to a new lvl imo.

Also TC should note Bethesda make's amazing open world games, Morowind was far ahead of its time.

If i had to pick 1, then its NAUGHTYDOG.

Léxis Numérique due to their outstandingly original games such as The Experiment and In Memoriam.

Bungie. I love them for their Halo games which are very polished and so full of life thatBungie and the fine guys at 343 Industries are able to make daily updates about it. The community while obviously full of flaws still have great points and often create awesome stuff to show their fandom. I like how Bungie interacts with their community. I like how they tease their future projects. I like their humor and they seem full of passion for what they do.

I hear alot of people say that Blizard and Valve are more involved with their Communities and that may be true, I wouldn't know becauseBungie's games appeal to me more. I'm not saying Bungie is the best, but they're my favorite.

Black Isle Studios....Why? Because they made Planescape:Torment.

If your not counting defunct studios, then Blizzard for their consistency.

I used to really like Blizzard and EA until they became the evil empire. They used to make the coolest games. They still do in ways but i have my personal reasons for saying they suck donkey ass. Long story.

Nowadays i don't really have a favorite developer? I'd like one that makes great original games and isn't a money grubbing **** If one exists let me know?

I could agree with this. Its amazing how Civilization is NEVER mentioned on system wars, easily one of the greatest series of games ever.

Valve, Blizzard, DICE and Bioware . Square Enix and Bungie used to be up there as well, but I'm not a huge fan of Halo Reach and Square Enix hasn't even mentioned anything of Kingdom Hearts 3 since forever.

Valve, BioWare and Relic.

Whoever realeases "Hello Kitty Island Adventure".

I dont know anymore, it used to be Squaresoft, maybe Platinum games will become my favorite, or depending whether or not they bring me Persona 5, Atlus.

Retro Studios (Metroid Prime Trilogy I can't wait for their new title)

Blizzard - Some of the best games I've ever played, years and years of fun, from starcraft to diablo to warcraft to WoW blizzard can do no wrong in my book!

Bioware - Engaging stories and great RPGs really make them something special.

Valve - I am still playing CS to this day.. nuff said.

Nintendo - Best console developer imo. I loved the N64 era and I love their games even up to now. I just wish the Wii was in HD so it could get multiplats and had a better online system, if it were, I'd never bother with the other two competitors.

Ah........The beta.

Nintendo. Why? Well, the easiest explanation would be that they have made the biggest amount of games I would consider "one of the best games of all time".

I would also love to see more games from Amanita Design.

Bungie, they just always do a fantastic job making the game Complete... game-play, visuals, on-line and dev support.

I mean c'mon.. 4 AAA's in a row and soon, 360's first ever AAAAE...

Okay, perhaps not but it's likely to score AAA making it FIVE AAA's in a row. o

I'm a HUGE fan of Atlus. They have of course the Persona series, Trauma Center series, Baroque, Zeno Clash, and Demon's Souls. Great development firm. Their publishing firm kinda sucks though, with stinkers with spectral force 3 and zoid's assult.
