I voted online/multiplayer.. but I wanted to add to that. It's not just online multiplayer... it's the focus on the online community in general.

Motion controls. They're rarely done right on the Wii, but people fail to understand that something like this had never been done before on such a large scale. The Wii is the industry's guinea pig. We already see improvement with Motion Plus, Natal, and Playstation Wand. When the controls are done right, we see why Nintendo went that route in the first place. Because it opens up an entirely new aspect of video games.

i hate MMOs, open world can be good (crysis) or bad (GTA4), online has become the focus in gaming neglecting the single player, music games are meh to me. most of these things are bad trends so motion controls win by default

Honestly none of those trends mean much to me. Trends die fast because they're well...trends.

Yeah those are all dieing trends. The future is bleak...

Some will die some wont for various reasons. Some trends do die out fast thankfully, like Kid Rock.
