Your Favorite Prequel

Hollywood loves them, and so does the gaming industry. What game would you consider your favorite "prequel" game in an established franchise?

I kinda jump back and forth between GoW: Ghost of Sparta and MGS: Peace Walker (surprisingly, I actually enjoyed PW more than MGS 3, which was still epic).

I'll go with Golden Abyss. It gets a lot of hate, but i loved it. easily better than UC3 imo.

PSP had some great prequels with GOW titles, MGS Peacewalker & Final Fantasy Crisis Core (if this counts as a prequel)..

Ace Combat Zero.

MGS3. Peace Walker and Halo Reach are the worst.BigBoss255

Peace walker was pretty good, it kinda made a basis for the AI project of the patriots and you cant enjoy that game unless you've got a team to play with, honestly its nowhere near as fun on your own.

Peace walker was a fantastic title especially when you had people to play with and the HD versions are a good leap over th PSP version control wise.

That was a good game but not as good as the original game. However I can't think of many games that are prequels, so i guess that would be my answer as well.

Devil May Cry 3 should get more recognition here. It's the best in a fantastic series and is considered by many to be the greatest HacknSlash ever made.

I'll also mention Skyward Sword. It's absolutely superb. The motion controls were outstanding and proved that they have a place in core gaming.
