I think its going to be a massive success.. with the casuals.
At least thats my opinion.
Your thoughts?

Well, at first I thought I wanted it on day one, I kind of want to wait for a redesign (but I'm not patient :(). I won't be getting it on day 1 (due to the seemingly lackluster launch titles), but I do plan on getting it eventually.
I think it will be a very successful handheld, if it's not they can just lower the price.
It has like the best lineup since SNES. Going to buy it in red as soon as I can, if there's not red I'll wait.
I think it's going to be a success for hardcore and casual alike, just like the DS.
Why did you need to add the word honest in the title? Have you read any of the topics on this forum? People would give their honest opinions if the topic title said to give their dishonest opinions...
Anyways, now that that's out of the way, I think it will be cool. The graphics are amazing, especially for a handheld. I'll probably wait for a price drop, though.
I can't buy it on day one, so I will probably wait for the redesign.funsohngI'm probably doing the same thing as well
Eh? It seems to be working for this thread. Why did you need to add the word honest in the title? Have you read any of the topics on this forum? People would give their honest opinions if the topic title said to give their dishonest opinions...

I'm thinking wait for the redesign, then buy the older model. Hopefully it will be cheaper, cause there's no way I'm dropping 300 bucks on a handheld!
I'm going to wait until the 19th to make my prediction, but if it has a DS-like library, then It's going to be the superior handheld of the next gen. tagyhag
This.
Friend codes, region locked, PSP graphics
Looks very dated technically PSP is alot better and its 5 years old system
Zurrur
Whatever makes you sleep.
A success with the casuals? Umm yeah the higher price point, big leap in tech, and tons of core games really are the indicator here right?
It will appeal to all gamers as the DS did, but it is indeed a bit more focused on the "core" gmaes so far and such. I am buying one no doubt, most likely on launch.
[QUOTE="93BlackHawk93"]More like 1.For people waiting for redesign, are you willing to wait 2-3 years? (if they ever do one)
Easyle
They did DSLite in 2006 and DSi in 2009, the DSiXL in 2010.

Excellent, but that was the DS. We are talking about 3DS.everything the virtual boy did.topgunmv
Which is...what exactly?
The only similarities are that they both have some kind of 3D effect and both use cartridges. The Virtual Boy wasn't even a handheld.
It seems to be another awesome Nintendo handheld system. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the fact it is region locked.
its gonna be another success on all fronts,
we all know nintendo
they have 99.9 percent rating of commercail falures 1 percent is vb in the handhelds dept
so ya im going with its nintendo $$$$$$ im buying mine day one /already preordered
who ever says next vb good luck with that cause it is not gonna be another vb cause the 3d portion can be turned off and played like a updated handheld with that said ,,
nintendo is on its way again to a podium all the way at the top of the handheld market,
nintendo ds is already there but they will further take away support i pad is so called takin by releasing the 3ds ,
its got the line up -not saying the launch will be perfect, those are never perfect , but in the longer run , 3ds will have the games such as saints row drive by driver renegade resident evil revelotions not to mention mgs zelda mario mario kart , etc
I think you are just a hater. If Sony came out with the same exact system you would probably be one of the biggest fanboys around. But everyone this gen has hated on Nintendo. That is my honest opinion.
I won't be picking it up at launch. I may actually wait until they do the first (of many) redesigns. My logic for this is that of all the games that launched with the DS, the only one I ended up enjoying was Kirby Canvas Curse. All of the other DS games I like came 18+ months after the system launched.
Looks like a great handheld with a rather solid lineup so far and if I had the extra dough Id buy it day one but in my current finacial position I cant buy a handheld with region locks, a rather low battery and lineup that doesnt yet have a must buy for me. Ill wait.
ill wait till it gets cheaper or redesign.. i dont see much on it that interests me... except maybe kid icarus and even then i heard the controls are awfulcampzor
You probably heard that from people that didn't payed it, their complain is no 2nd stick (touch screen is better btw).
