I'll be using this on the PC.

Although I wouldn't neccessarily be making it my Primary.

I hope it dies. Paying for digital media is one thing, that service is something entirely different.

Onlive is an interesting idea. Cloud gaming will get more popular as time goes on. However Onlive's current implementation and restrictions turn me off. Not to mention our current Internet infrastructure as a whole isn't up to the task and we have this thing called bandwidth caps that will get in the way unless they get much higher. Maybe in 7-10 years from now Cloud gaming will be mainstream if certain things are addressed..

If I want to game on the PC I'm going to build a gaming PC not use some crappy watered down service that I cant even play when offline.

Don't like the options, there should be something between buying it, and wanting it to die. Something like "I don't care, my PC is high end, and my last video card was more powerful than OnLive's current" Bandwidth hog, would have to spend more each year on a more expensive ISP plan then on a new video card every 2 years.

If I was to get into PC gaming I would go for the real deal and not this, so I'm not interested.

I am going to give it a shot. While I overwhelmingly prefer the idea of physical media, or at least digital media that is available to me at all times and not held on some remote server, I will use it more or less like a rental. I'll buy the 3 or 5 day pass to games I wanted to check out, but didn't want to buy. Cheaper than renting, and I get a decent connection with it, so why not?

What I would like to see is if Onlive could get Steam Support.

You buy the game, You can Install the game and what not...BUT you can also play the game on a Cloud Based System.

You own the game but you don't have to Install to play.

Your options all require a strong opinion one way or another. I have zero interest in using it, so I can't really wish fiery death upon it either.

Where's the "I have no desire to use it" option? I don't want it to die in a fire but I'm not going to use it. It's a nice option for gamers who want a simpler but watered down version of PC gaming.

Not one vote yet for the microconsole which doesn't surprise me.

At least with the pc it solves the hardware compatibility problem.

I bet they will drop the microconsole at some point. They already cut the price by a third even though it hasn't been out for 6 months.

Which is, as it turns out, not very many places. Not only do you need to go to a place near a center, but you need a place with a stable and fast internet connection where limits are ignored. You'd be hard pressed to find one such location, much less many.

I can see the usefulness for laptops and demos but I would rather see it fail to discourage console makers from going digital-only.

There should be a "couldn't possibly care any less than I do now" option. That, BTW, gets my vote.

OnLive is a joke. I can get the games I want cheaper on Steam, run them at a higher resolution with no compression on my crappy two-year old $500 PC, and not eat up my monthly bandwidth just by playing games.

Until it can be used on a cellphone with some sort of bluetooth/wireless input device its crap. Its like PC gaming's clumsy and poor little cousin that not even Hermits try to defend.

lame controller

an internet connection which will drain my usage in no time

no exclusives

i like to own a game and play it whenever i want without having to worry about anything (no internet, online maintenance etc...)

u NEED an internet connection... if for whatever reason i cant pay the bills or the ISP is having problems or whatever...cant play a game..

few of the reasons why i think it blows

as convienient as downloadable stuff on the internet is, i think its hard on the economy. netflix put both of the family owned video rental places out of business in my rown. things like onlive and steam might put things like gamestop out of business, resulting in a loss of jobs. sory for boring people with my political approach

None. I won't be using it, but I also don't want it to die in a fire. I find the idea behind it incredibly interesting.
