I hope it dies. Paying for digital media is one thing, that service is something entirely different.
If I want to game on the PC I'm going to build a gaming PC not use some crappy watered down service that I cant even play when offline.
I am going to give it a shot. While I overwhelmingly prefer the idea of physical media, or at least digital media that is available to me at all times and not held on some remote server, I will use it more or less like a rental. I'll buy the 3 or 5 day pass to games I wanted to check out, but didn't want to buy. Cheaper than renting, and I get a decent connection with it, so why not?
What I would like to see is if Onlive could get Steam Support.
You buy the game, You can Install the game and what not...BUT you can also play the game on a Cloud Based System.
You own the game but you don't have to Install to play.
Not one vote yet for the microconsole which doesn't surprise me.
At least with the pc it solves the hardware compatibility problem.
I bet they will drop the microconsole at some point. They already cut the price by a third even though it hasn't been out for 6 months.
Which is, as it turns out, not very many places. Not only do you need to go to a place near a center, but you need a place with a stable and fast internet connection where limits are ignored. You'd be hard pressed to find one such location, much less many.I will be using it on any device I own and any device where the service is available. :)

Theres alot more people who cant play onlive quality games then people who can play games that look better. If I lived in town I would have onlive.

Do you own stock in the company? I do not. Do you work for Onlive in any way shape or form? You sure go the extra mile in promoting them..Do you work for Onlive in any way shape or form? I like the core concept but Onlive is doing it wrong.[QUOTE="karasill"][QUOTE="Rikusaki"] I do not.Rikusaki

I can see the usefulness for laptops and demos but I would rather see it fail to discourage console makers from going digital-only.[QUOTE="karasill"] Do you work for Onlive in any way shape or form? Nope. I just love the service. Do you have to keep plugging it here? Everyone knows about it by now.[QUOTE="Rikusaki"]

because anyone with a right mind would buy a $20 PCI cable and hook their PC to the TV.
lame controller
an internet connection which will drain my usage in no time
no exclusives
i like to own a game and play it whenever i want without having to worry about anything (no internet, online maintenance etc...)
u NEED an internet connection... if for whatever reason i cant pay the bills or the ISP is having problems or whatever...cant play a game..
few of the reasons why i think it blows
Do you work for Onlive in any way shape or form? You sure go the extra mile in promoting them.. Nope. I just love the service. yeah he loves the 15 games they offer, which are blurry because no 1080p..yuck[QUOTE="karasill"][QUOTE="Rikusaki"] I do not.Rikusaki
as convienient as downloadable stuff on the internet is, i think its hard on the economy. netflix put both of the family owned video rental places out of business in my rown. things like onlive and steam might put things like gamestop out of business, resulting in a loss of jobs. sory for boring people with my political approach
Uh, no interest. I don't want to kill it with fire, I guess because I didn't sink any money into it, but it just seemed like a lousy service and a terrible investment.
