To buy less games, no more collector's editions, and to play more of my backlog.
Also to sell some of my collection.
1920x1080.clyde46I came into the thread to post just that. Thank you for ruining my fun, you big meanie :(
I already set the standard months ago. Buy less games and only stick with quality stuff that I will be spending my time on.

This. I've already sold a lot of my collection but could probably do with getting rid of a few more.
And I did pretty well this year in terms of buying games and collector's editions. After a couple really poor CE showings I wasn't doing that anymore, and I'm sick of purchasing games at $60 so I'm stopping that. Only games I'm purchasing day 1 at the moment are Bioshock: Infinite, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Grand Theft Auto V; The Last of Us will probably be up there too, and then a bunch of 3DS games that aren't $60.
My gaming resolutions:
MAYBE start buying games from Steam.
Buy more than one game.
Play Skyrim (wher the hell is that stupid GOTY Edition!?).
Get Morrowind's bugs fixed and kill Dagoth Ur.
Find someone willing to trade a good game for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
Pretend I have games so I can b!tch and complain on System Wars.

My gaming resolutions:
I have to admit, I rage-quitted Xenoblade Chronicles recently during a boss and got rid of it, which is extremely rare for me these days. Oh well, I wasn't liking it much in general and didn't feel it was worth my time to continue until the end. I was at level 28, so played quite a bit.
Buy two of a game that I think will become fairly rare, and likely to have a cult following. Save that one in good condidtion for future sale. Other than that, I got nothin.
I will game more seriously on my tablet - I've been wanting to purchase Blazing Souls Accelate and a couple of Square Enix titles for a while now.
Also, as much as I love Nintendo, I won't buy the Wii U. Enough is enough and if they treat their customers like 10-year-olds, all they're going to have left are ten-year-olds.

Yah, same with me.
Once my backlog is done I have also been thinking that I'll only buy games I truly want. I don't like having a big collection of games I beat once, and never care to play again, but given how cheap they were when I bought them I couldn't help myself. I've disciplined myself quite a bit, andI haven't made any impulse buys in a very long time.
I liked the days when I'd buy a game, and just play it 10-20 times over. Then there were old games like C&C, and Warcraft 2 where I'd just play skirmishes, custom maps, or even make my own maps, and there's no doubt I put in a few thousand hours across both series of games.
Fixed it for you.1. Getting a job to pay off the money europe loaned us.
2. Paying taxes.

So you wasting a ton of money to run games at max when you can be buying a pc for much cheaper and get the same performance? Don't give me an excuse like "windows sux lol," and mac os is more user friendly. We know you are using Windows, otherwise you wouldn't be able to play BF3 a Windows only game.

Before, when Mac hardware did not have gaming capable GPUs, it didn't matter because they were purchased for reasons other than gaming. Now that they have gaming GPUs, that's the only reason people are buying Macs and they are stupid because of it. Since there's no point in going into the software reasons (anything I say will instantly deem me an idiot by the anti-Apple crowd), I'll go into the financial point of contention. I can get the model I want for $2300, and I have a $400 stipend to spend on a Macbook or desktop Mac via an educational department that uses iOS software. Lets say I use this Mac for the next five years. If you can build me a great desktop for $950, exactly half, it will save me $190 a year. That is not a large sum of money to me, especially for a desktop I find less useful, portable, and aesthetically pleasing all in the name of not purchasing an Apple product. I also spent $650 on an Ipad when I could have had a Samsung tablet for half as much. Why? I like more apps on one than the other. Sue me. I'm glad people on Gamespot are so conscious about how others spend their money, but seriously, if someone has the money what does it matter? Do you stop people in parking lots and ask them why they bought such an expensive car, when they could have saved a negligible amount of money with another car that they liked less? This whole anti-Apple nonsense is amusing. I recognize the other side as well, the cult following some people have with Apple, but both sides are equally idiotic.
