Your next gen libraries

What do you have currently? This is what I currently have, adding to it gradually, just got NBA2K15 and Dragon Age Inquisition yesterday from a pawn shop for $35 for both. I use my Xbox One more than the other systems because of the extra features, apps and media capabilities, plus the ability to just hook up an external, so I get most of my games on it so I don't have to switch around all the time or replace the HDD on the PS4 when it fills up.

Dead or Alive: Last Round. I needed a proper reason to jump into next gen, and that was it.

Selling everything when im done with it and know i won't be playing the game in the future. Bloodborne is all i currently have and need in life.

You don't amass a collection? You just get rid of your stuff after you've played it?

Are we counting PC games? If so, Age of Wonders III, Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes, Shadow Warrior, and Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Zero Xbone games

One PS4 game (Soon to be two when I have the time for Bloodborne)

Something like 6 or 7 Wii U games, maybe more.

Dozens of PC games.

Why you bought MGS: GZ, GTAV, and Tomb Raider on Xbox One is beyond me.

1.) MGS:GZ was $10 and I also own it on my $1,500 PC via Steam so there's that.

2.) Xbox Live for GTA V obviously not to mention it's essentially identical on both platforms, why in the hell would I want to play GTA Online on PSN? It's terrible.

3.) Tomb Raider because it was $20 and it's also a much more consistent experience stuck at 30 FPS on XBO due to the lack of framerate variance unlike it's PS4 counterpart which has FPS drops left and right from 60 breaking immersion in the game and causing visual slowdowns.

My habit of waiting a few weeks for first impressions and possible price drops or sales tends to make me buy far fewer games that I think I'm going to before their launch, which is why now I realistically only have plans of getting Splatoon and Project CARS in the forseeable future. If I get a ps4 then that'll change, of course. I wouldn't dream of passing up the opportunity to play Bloodborne.

Well I happen to have a super hardcore cow friend. Known him since back in high school... holy shit, I just realized he would be the worst guy on this board if he posted here lol. He's the kind of go that goes into a Gamestop to fanboy it up and argue with the clerks. Not in a funny way either, he takes the shit serious while not knowing a damn thing. Yeah, we don't hang out much.

Anyways, this guy buys most of the Sony exclusives. He has his limits, no Knack or any shit like that. But I get to test drive a lot of these exclusives when I go over there. It's great too, so far he's saved me from buying quite a few shit games. I almost bought Killzone 4 out of new console hype and he helped me dodge that bullet.

I guess my point is that I'd probably own at least a few PS4 games, but between owning a PC for multiplats and test driving their exclusives, I've had no reason.

Edit: Damn, how fucking crazy would it be if I've been hanging out with Solidgame_basic for like 15 years and didn't even know it lol.

@ConanTheStoner It's funny bro, I have a friend that I've known since college that's a hardcore cow as well. He exudes the same exact behavior as your friend lol. The crazy shit about it though, is the fact that he didn't even buy a PS3 at all last gen, but defended Sony as if he was the general in the war. I've noticed a lot of cows like that here on SW's throughout the years, and I'll never understand it lol. I guess that explains the orgin for the "Cows hype exclusives that they never buy" phrase last gen. :P

I don't have a next gen console but I bought bloodborne. I'm good at this time though, no need to buy new systems yet. There are more than a lot of games in my collection or new ones to add for old systems.

Also want to pick up older titles if I find good deals, or wait for a price drop, I'm waiting for Wolfenstein: New Order to get discounted to its retail MSRP price so I can buy it digitally, maybe see if Shadow Warrior gets a $20 deal down the road (or might pick up at $30, I dunno), would maybe like to try Ryse if it gets a big discount (saw it for $30 digitally but didn't want to add to backlist just then). Maybe pick up Forza Horizon 2, but when Forza 6 releases as they're bound to have a discounted edition with all DLC bundled with it. Maybe down the road Saints Row 4 will get a nice discount for the bundle. Haven't played Sleeping Dogs either yet, if it gets another discount down the road maybe I'll grab. I started out with about 10 games physical retail but now all my purchases will be digital as I much prefer being disc free and the painless no hassle digital installation is nice.

As far as my purchases for Wii U and 3DS go I've slowed down quite a bit since getting an Xbox One, but I still have other games I want to pick up. One Wii U I still want to grab Affordable Space Adventures, which releases soon. Down the road I want Xenoblade Chronicles X, SMT x FE, Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, and if Nintendo ever releases them in North America, Fatal Frame V and Metroid: Zero Mission. On 3DS I want Bravely Second, Fire Emblem If, Devil Survivor 2, Etrian Oddysee Untold 2, Etrian Odyssey Mystery Dungeon.

Frankly, I'm rather baffled people complain there's not enough good stuff so far in the 8th gen, while I'm having a blast and can barely keep up, and I don't even have a PS4 or gaming PC at the moment.

I feel it man. Physical media is my wallet's downfall. I imported it from Amazon UK. Cost around $35, a lot more than the game costs on PSN, especially considering it was free on PS+ not long ago. Foreigners seem to get a lot more physical media than we do in the states -- not the happiest about that but I'll go the extra mile to get this disc.
