What are your opinions on the future of consoles and pc?

One thing I do not like is STREAMING for media. If this takes over, audio and video industrys will go to the sh***er. Streaming murders image quality. Compare streaming to a Blu ray disc, its like dvd quality even though its says its 720p or 1080p. Its impossible to stream blu ray quality video.

Going away from discs is resulting is terrible quality. MP3s have ruined audio. If cds stop being sold we will be stuck with low bitrate audio...ughhh. If blu rays die in the future for DD, you can say goodbye to image quality.

This is why I HOPE Cloud gaming NEVER catches on.

I dont know what the future of consoles hold...I know it won't be the same business model as consoles have now, but I pray its not cloud gaming...

On to pc....I can see the desktop computer being niche somewhere in the future. Desktop computers are being sold less and sell compared to laptops. Tablets and smartphones are hurting them even more. I can see the future being portable for the majority of computers and desktop being niche for gamers and business.

How will digital distribution hurt image quality? You are actually downloading the game files to your PC (at least for PC games) and the files haven't changed between the developer and your PC.

I said STREAMING. Which is terrible quality audio and video compared to blu ray. Sadly Netflix is wanting to go full on streaming and stop buying dvds. I can see a horrible future for the videophile and audiophiles.

Actually notebooks and tablets will hurt consoles much more than desktops. Dedicated gaming machines are going to disappear.

I think that as long as graphic cards will be released, pc gaming is here to stay.

Either you're wrong, or you expressed your thoughts wrong. DD will in no way hurt image quality. For instance, I get most of my PC games from DD and have much better image quality than PS3 gamers, whose games are on BR.

Don't mix up streaming and DD; two different things.

This is in your post. DD is digital distribution, not streaming. Streaming is just that, streaming.
