Mine are:
1. Mass Effect 3
2. Need for Speed: Most Wanted
3. Halo 4 (haven't finished it, so its position will probably changed by the time I'm done)
4. Kid Icarus: Uprising
5. Assassin's Creed 3
Max Payne 3 comes next.

4.Darksiders 2
5.Assassins Creed 3 (although this was pretty disappointing.)
Honorable mention for Journey.
- Borderlands2
- Guild Wars 2
- Fallen Enchantress
- Xcom
- Halo4/Sleeping Dogs
Indie/Mods/Cheaper priced games =
- FTL
- Orcs Must Die 2
- Legend of Grimrock
- DayZ
- The Walking Dead (This game surprised me so much, the story, characters, dialogue and atmosphere rules)
Torchlight 2 Max Payne 3 Borderlands 2 Hotline Miami Orcs Must Die 2BPoole96
If you enjoyed Torchlight and Borderlands you really need to give Diablo 3 a try. Since you haven't played Diablo 2 you will probably love it. It's a great game in it's own right even though it doesn't live up to the Diablo name.

Yeah I plan on getting it eventually. I am new to the ARPG genre and was hesitant to drop $60 on Diablo 3 when it launched. I figured I'd wait until Torchlight 2 released since its only $20 and I ended up loving that. I'm far to busy with school at this point though and have way too many games in my library that I need to play before I buy another. Ill probably get around to buying Diablo 3 next summer.[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"][QUOTE="BPoole96"]Torchlight 2 Max Payne 3 Borderlands 2 Hotline Miami Orcs Must Die 2BPoole96

I took a break from it until I can get a group together to go monster slaying. I miss my Wizard. She was such a bawse :(
Torchlight 2 gets an honorable mention.
Edit: I didn't realize all The Walking Dead episodes came out this year, I just bought the season pass when it was on sale a few weeks ago and assumed some came out earlier. Not sure what it could replace in my top five, but it's right up there with them.
1. The Walking Dead
2. Borderlands 2
3. XCOM: Enemy Unknown
4. Dishonored
5. Binary Domain/Max Payne 3
It hasn't been a great year, but there have been a few damn good games.
and probably Mass Effect 3 when I play it. Haven't played too many games from this year unless you count collections as first time playthroughs
The only 2012 games I bought were
-Darksiders II
-Kid Icarus Uprising
-New Super Mario Bros. 2
-Street Figher X Tekken
Darksiders was probably the best of those followed by New Super Mario Bros. 2
1. Tales of Graces f
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Mists of Pandaria
4. Soul Calibur 5
Those are the only games I bought that were released this year. I don't plan on buying any until next year when Tales of Xillia and Ni No Kuni are finally released.
The gaming industry has been getting worse and worse over the years. :(
1.Mass Effect 3
2.XCOM Enemy Unknown
3.Assassins Creed 3
4.Resident Evil Revelations
5.Double Dragon Neon
