Your Top Potential 2011 Hit or Miss Games

3.Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Its hard to live up to such praise for the second installment in this series. So many GoTY, so much expectation. While Naughty Dog seems to be staying the course and highly upgrading animations this time around (like hwo they did graphics last time) in making a cinematic jopyride thats a game once again, there's a high chance this won't be what we know the hype will be come launch time.

2.Gears of War 3 This is the pinaccle of the 360's success with the not Kinect crowd Microsoft is targetting. Basically, with little to no other exclusives to back Gears up in 2011, hype will likely build beyond whats reasonable, and push it to being a Gran Turismo 5 style flop. It will likely be a great game, like GT5, but not live up to the hype, like GT5. Unlike GT5 is the reason for this hype, of course. Then again, maybe fanboys won't go overboard for once

1.Star Wars: The Old Republic A motherload of a game, I must say. Years and years opf development have put this game up on a pedestal as the biggest threat to WoW, and whats been promised looks like it could do just that. This has the potential to be the biggest game of the year, or the biggest bust and wasted money in a long time. Personally, I have faith in Bioware, but EA also has a track record of never having one MMO they've piblished have any success. Big mystery on how good this will be.

I think Zelda is probably the biggest one. It only has the option of being as good as OOT or WW. My god if it is just an excellent AAA worthy game like TP, people will call the series dead.

I'd say Crysis 2, even people in the officialforums have lost hope so crappy is their PR.

Brink is definitely a hit or miss. Here's praying it's a hit. :?

I think for some reason Brink is going to be a miss. I don't know why but I don't think it's going to be that great. I hope I'm wrong though b/c it looks decent.

The Last Guardian. I feel bad for not having 100% faith in Team Ico, but I'm confident it will be a hit.

Personally, Skyward Sword. I didn't like Twilight Princess, I have a feeling i'll either love this one or hate it.

Crysis 2 will be hit or miss.

• The Old Republic: Love Star Wars, but meh MMOs. I don't think Bioware realizes that using a lightsaber in RPG type gameplay is lame.

ToR will come out, and after a month or two (if it doesn't get bad negative press on before launch) people will probably be done with all the content like all the other big MMOs that come out, and nobody will ever care about it again.

And yes I do have a crystal ball which I wear around my neck at all times. The clock might have failed for a necklace, but I think I'm cool enough to pull this off.

L.A. Noire, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, RAGE.

Bioware isn't that stupid, there will probably be enough content for 3-4 months at least. Most new big mmos fall flat because of a lack of content, specifically end game.

I don't think there's a chance Infamous will be a miss. It's basically just the first game but shinier and bigger and better. It's like expecting the next Assassin's Creed to be a miss.

Agree with all the others, specially TOR, which is sitting on an impossible mission, but if it pulls through the first months, it could grow up to be the next big thing.

What about Knights of the Old Republic?

For me the biggest hit or miss is Dragon Age 2 for PC.

Zelda: Skyward Sword - Let's see how far Nintendo goes with creating a Zelda experience that feels fresh. If it's just another LttP/OoT clone, I doubt I'm even going to bother.

Deep Black - A very interesting-looking Russian shooter that partially takes place underwater. It's set to come out soon, and I'm rather excited, even though I don't have the slightest indication about the game's actual quality.

Homefront. I havea gut feeling I'm gonna be disappointed.

Crysis 2 is hot on Homefront's heels.

Infamous 2. The more i see of this makes me less interested.

Ratchet and Clank:A4O. I commend them on the new approach, but i just don't how will forcing co-op make the game better. Fanbase's; They ruin everything sometimes.

Rage and Infamous 2 both have potential to be great and both are going to be a hit or a miss
