Your Worst/Best Day as a Gamer?...

Between the many days of being a Gamer, we experience our bad days (usually losing to a 12 year old kid in a FPS game) and our good days (you find a game that you think is a perfect 10/10). But what is your most memorable moment as a Gamer? Good and Bad, share your story.

My worst day was probably when I found out that the Dreamcast was going to be discontinued/ When a friend broke my favorite (and rarest) game I owned on the Dreamcast: Power Stone 2.

My best day was when I bought all of my systems :)

Worst day was when i lost my persona 3 save data.

Best day was when i was about 8 or 9 and my dad got us a nintendo 64 for christmas i was so excited.

worst - this is kind of a funny story. My friend and I were playing his kh2 file on my ps2 and my memory card was in slot 1 and his was in slot 2. so when he went to save his game, anybody who plays a KH game knows you just keep pressing X until it saves which would save in the first memory card slot. I realized he was saving over my file (i was further than him) and at the moment when the game says: DO NOT TURN OFF, TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD, OR UNPLUG PS2! i dove out of my chair to turn off my ps2 by the main switch and my friend ripped out my memory card. My file got saved over =(

best - getting my n64 with super mario world 64

That stinks but KH is so good i wouldnt mind going through it again thats the reason im going through persona 3 again

That's hilarious. I would have cried if one of my RPG's got written over, since they take forever to play

best day recently? Buying a sealed copy of Vagrant Story off some kid at GS/EB who was trying to trade old PS1/N64 games for a new system with his brother. Cloud_Insurance

Nice deal how much? same thing happened to me with Digital Devil Saga 1 when it was going for 80-90$ some kid wanted to get rid of it. I got it for 30

Best: Too many to count. The day I got my N64, the day I got my 360, the day I got to around level 80 in Morrowind and still had only completed half of the quests, the day I upgraded my computer and learned how incredible STALKER is.

Worst: The day my N64 was stolen, then a year later my new N64 and my sisters N64 were stolen :(

30 bucks. They thought they were getting a deal, since it covered half the cost of a new game. When the clerk pulled it out of the cardboard box with all the other crap they brought in, he kind of freaked out. He was like "yeah, we don't take trades on PS1 games anymore, but you might want to hold onto that...". He was pissed when I bought it off them in the store right in front of him, but he couldn't do anything about it. The store wouldn't buy it and he was working, so he couldn't buy it for himself either. Thats what I hate about GS/EB because they don't take older games than PS2/Xbox era ones. If they did, you would be able to find tons of great older games for cheap.

Worst- day of rrod

Best: This one night in summer 2000 where my friends and I had an all night SSB party. It was the second or third SSB allnighter that summer but for some reason this particular one had so many memorable fights and crazy kills that made it just crazy. Not to mention tons of pizza and litters and litters of Coke. Those were the days.

Worst: The day my Laptop died (permanately) while I was playing starcraft.

the worst will be before this december when EE server is shut down for good but up till now any nuber of times me or my bro have saved over the others saved data... or when bf2 changed the req for upgrades 2 weeks after i just got the last one was ranked 83 at the time but have not played much since

best beating the beating my student in an EE tourny and winning 1500$, the money was good but beating him was better or the sum of the time with the 64 and friends back in highschool

Worst day was when my friends sister lost my memory card that contained my save files for Fatal Frame 1, 2 and 3 and also my Metal Gear Solid 3 save file. The worst loss was my MGS3 file as my last save point was right before you start the fight with The Boss, meaning I was just about to be the game. :(

She wanted to date me this past summer and I refused for various reasons, but if you ask me why I always say,"She lost my memory card."

Best moment? When I played Super Mario 64 for the first time at Wal-Mart. It was my first 3D game and I was absolutely blown away by it.

empire earth only the first was good and well its the best rts game that has ever been created

AOE3 and other games that allow you to create a "deck" or customize your civ got it from that game and no other has do it correct

not to say AOE3,1,2 are bad by any means but no RTS takes the skill of EE starcraft included (that just takes muscle memory)

Best day. I went 80 to 0 is CS:S (I should have bought a lottery tick that day) they last 6 kills I had a p90 came a round a corner and saw 6 guys, a spray and pray later I had 6 kills.

worst day: When I first played Halo 2 with sky high expectations after Halo: CE

Like someone mentioned earlier....

My GT3 saved game which I had 97% on being erased because of some demo released by the Playstation Underground, I still remember them sending in a letter a week later saying not to put in the demo with your memory card in because it was deleting peoples saves :evil:

A favorite memory would be...

Playing a console game online for the first time.

Best day would be on cod4 snd when i pulled a John Mclane and killed all of the terrorists on the other team and defused the bomb with 0:00 seconds to go

Best: Being exposed to the industry through Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Worst: Wondering where the hell Rare went from 2002-2005 (wasn't Internet savy and only suscribed to Nintendo Power). Watched the 360 reveal on MTV, saw PDZ and Kameo, got extremely excited to see my favorite developer again.

best day: Picking up my copy of SF2 for SNES :D

Worst: is a toss up between putting a 4 MB memory Expansion Pak in my 64 and then realizing I just got owned. -or- picking up Forza 2 and having my 360 RROD a hour into it (the following 3 weeks sucked too). :?

LOL, I guess you got it stand alone. I got it with DKC64, and I think that you needed it to play LoZ:MM too. so I dont think that it was a total waste (and it did make Tony Hawk Pro Skater look a good bit better than it did on the PS)

Best: getting high and going to Game On. :D

Worst: any day I think back on all the games I've traded in. :cry:

Best day: Having a dreamcast/N64 marathon with 3 friends. For dreamcast we played Power stone 2, soul caliber, Chu chu rocket and Marvel vs capcom 2. For N64 we had goldeneye, perfect dark, Mario Kart 64, Mario tennis, Super smash brothers, and Wave race 64. We played from 12:00 AM to 10:00 PMm, great times.

Worst day: Getting to the last boss in grandia 2, only to have my jerk brother erase the data.

Anyways my favourite day was probably gettin my first console, Ps1 with tekken and gran turismo, cant think of any bad memories :)
