Not its fault you didn't own one, anyone who actually owned a dreamcast knew how awesome it was....Powerstone 2 Best fighting game to date

I never played the Dreamcast so I don't know, mine was broken when I first got it(Which might have SOMETHING to do with the fact that we found it in an abandoned car in a landfill).

But I can say that when I was five, I wanted Santa Claus to give me a machinegun for Christmas, and I didn't get one. So wanting something does nothing to make it happen.

It came out in 98 in Japan, which is when they would announce and or release it. It's not going to happen. Nor should it be called "Dreamcast 2."

If you really want to play your dreamcast now online, people still play UT you just have to put in custom servers in.

I disagree that Sega suffered a steep decline in the quality of their software after they went third party. Maybe Sonic Team lost their edge at that point (Sonic Heroes *shudder*),but it was when Sega got bought out by Sammy that they really became a laughing stock. There were really a lot of great Sega games last gen before Sega sold their assets. Shinobi, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future, Otogi and Virtua Fighter 4 to name a few. After Sammy came in, Sega were resigned to producing worthless licensed games.

Talk about humourless.

I think Zenghi was just being a little bit tongue-in-cheek.

I am a rabid SEGA fan. I own a Master System, Genesis, SEGA CD, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Gear, and Nomad. As much as I'd like to see SEGA make a new console, I'm sort of glad that they've gone third party. It gives them the chance to expand their horizons. They've published and developed some of the most outstanding games of this generation thus far, and many were specifically designed to take advantage of a single system's features. For example, I'd hate to see what Feel the Magic would feel like on the PSP, or what The Club would feel like on the Wii. I don't much want to find out what Virtua Fighter 5 or Valkyria Chronicles would be like on Wii, and nor do I want to know what Let's Tap or Madworld would be like on Playstation 3. We'll always have our memories of SEGA to look back on, but SEGA is offering plenty of great games now and in the immediate future from both a developing and publishing standpoint (Madworld, Shining Force Feather, The Conduit, etc).

I wish they would have stayed in the hardware business, I would love to have a new Sega system to sit next to my xbox and xbox 360. Or at the very least I wish MS would have bought Sega and let Sega help design the 360 and bring the entire catalog of Master System, Genesis, Saturn, Game Gear, and Dreamcast games to XBLA.

And hey, if they would have stayed in the hardware biz, we might have Shenmue III now, makes me sad when I think bout it.

If a Sega console were out this gen, I would have no need for any other system, period.

The Dreamcast was a good console it had amazing graphics at the time. PS1 and N64 were better though.

I did like the Dreamcast, but I don't think it's as great as some people say.
