now i think of it its kind da hard to compare zelda to that game. legend of zelda:TP is more of a open world type of game. its best to compare GOW2 to ninja gaiden
In my opinion, God of War 2 is the graphically superior game. When I look at God of War 2, I'm impressed by the visuals, especially since it's a Playstation 2 game; when I look at The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, I think it looks good, but is a little "lacking," i.e. could be better.

Fixed camera is fine when it's implemented well like God of War, it is often more cinematic A fixed view being cinematic is a cheap excuse for covering your a$$. There's a reason a lot of PS2 games had it. PS2 had the least amount of graphical power of last gen. Some developers know it's a cheap excuse so they fixed the games when they knew how. MGS Subsistence, and Ninja Gaiden Black are good examples.

God of War better in draw-distance then TP? Not by a mile. Character design and animation? Not really. Lighting? Well not really considering God of War is also a fixed game in time in any scenary. Artistic design? Arguable. Also, considering the game is a fixed camera game............ Its definitelly not easy to compare them.

Not only does GOW 2 look much better than TP it is 10x more fun to play. I played GOW 1 and TP and let me say that the two are in different leagues. The Zelda games have always been a bit of a snooze to me but playing GOW the first time OMG!
I believe that the TP graphics are greater since you can actually interact most of it more than thin GoW2? Kinda like RE on the GameCube. It looks so amazing because it was just a static image and not actually a 3D enviornment.

This isn't really about art styles, thats always subjective. This is about graphics. Lol do you mean technically? If it follows GOW1 then yes TP is definitely better.
The video for GoW2 looks really bland compared to Twilight Princess. If you're talking about art direction, I prefer TP. If you're talking about graphics then TP wins hands down.
God of War 2 is by far the most graphically powerful game the PS2 will be known for IMO. It's gameplay is just as good as it's graphics based on the reviews so far.

You're not suppose to be comparing by gameplay, which you haven't played GOW2 anyway.
You have a game with a full 3D world and freely controllable camera and a game that has a limited 3D set, 2D backgrounds and a camera that cannot be controlled.

how can you even compare them gameplay wise. The God of War series is a pure action game with little to no puzzles involved into gameplay (i know they are some puzzle elements. but they are less then minor) while Zelda is an action adventure in which combat plays a minor role (in TP combat played a bigger role then other Zelda games but still the main gameplay of Zelda is puzzle solving)
Umm they are both really close. GoW2 is the best looking PS2 game and TP is one of the best looking GC games. I think on a technical level they are dead even but I like the general look of TP better so I'll give the slight edge to it.
GOW2 had more wow moments and pushed the boundaries. TP looks jaggy and bland in comparison.
