  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD full game digital download
  • The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia digital download

Jesus, all you get is a tablet with a little bit of paint on it, and all the extra stuff is all digital? Thats not worth 300 bucks. Cheap bastards cant even give you a retail copy of the game in the box.

It would be worth it if they solved the digital account management. Buying digital on Wii U right now is a no no.

Yep, it does kinda suck. Fortunately, a cheap external HDD solves the problem, but it's an added cost.

Regardless, WindWaker HD would not utilize 32GB of space (or less, due to overhead).

lol, $250 for that would be a perfect price. I would even think of maybe evantually buying one.

AT $300 still too high. Superior PS3 and 360 are only $200 now.

Wouldn't WW be pre-installed? Also did Nintendo fix what was causing the downloads at launch were people' hard drives were being used for the OS or whatever I know when I got my Wii U it was about a 30 minute download. I never bothered to look at how much of my 8 gigs were used because I had everything on an external HD.

I have no idea. What do you mean about the HDD being used for the OS?

Yeah, definitely not an issue. Even for the still relatively small 32GB model (probably closer to 28-30GB).

I knew when the Wii U first came out there were some major updates that had to be done that took a good chunk of the HD. I was wondering in Nintendo has fixed that so people have a little more room on the hard drive in the newer Wii U's.

Gotcha. I have no idea.

It genuinely sucks for the 8GB users, but 32GB's alleviates the issue, somewhat.

Did you grab an external drive?

I just do not get this issue. Who does not have a spare external/portable HDD or two?

And even if you don't, HDD are releatively cheap, these days.

I just dont get why console makers put storage at such a premium. Dont they understand the more storage the more stuff you can buy? just a thought because storage limitations on the first gen 360 and vita have def deterred me before

I already had one. I actually kept the games and got rid of the Wii U. I figured Nintendo would drop the price and add a bigger hard drive. I have been waiting a while....LOL. I was gonna get this Wii U with the money I get for the PS4 but I would like to know if they have fixed their digital mess yet. As far as I know anything you buy digitally can't be put on an external HD or am I wrong?

Though with the 360 and Vita you need to purchase proprietary storage but with the Wii U you can just purchase any off the shelf HDD that is up to 3 Terabytes.

Not sure why a console bundle coming with the game it's advertised as being bundled with is a bad thing. If you're afraid of digital stuff and the internet, move out to Amish territory or something. Clearly the modern world isn't for you.

They can be put in the External HDD but it is still tied to your account (But they are working on it) I just think save files can't go on external HDDs.

Anything can be transferred to the WIIU external drive, as far as I am aware... You can also run games directly from the external HDD.

I'll likely be grabbing this bundle, and a 500GB external drive. The only one I had, I gave to my brother, so I have to grab another.

Digital version of the game isn't a shock. Going digital with the book though is all kinds of weak.

Slashkice
you're paying the price of the console itself for a bundle though. and anyone that wanted the book bought it physical anyway.

Wow. This actually ruins it for me. For $299 I was going to get it since it's limited edition console, but digital download is deal killer. Will wait for $199 holiday bundle. Digital downloads wouldn't bother me at $199.

That's a risk you are willing to take? Nintendo staff have stated several times it isn't the price that's the problem from their perspective, it's the lack of games. And a lot of people agree. They would be willing to pay the entry price if there are games worth paying it for. I highly doubt the Wii U will drop again before Xmas. It'll probably get bundles and specials through particular retailers, but nothing official. Nintendo wants to keep their profit margins high, and since they aren't making Wii-money on the U, they can't drop the price that much. If they release Mario Kart and Smash Bros and sales still don't pick up (they will, there is no doubt about it) then they will start dropping the price more.

Then just get the Nintendoland bundle and buy WW. Gamestop has a good limited edition that comes with a Ganondorf figurine.

[QUOTE="2Chalupas"]Will wait for $199 holiday bundle.foxhound_fox

It's not a "risk" because it's not like I'm absolutely dying to get a Wii-U.

There will certainly be more black friday bundles. The limited edition console is somewhat appealing, (hell I got suckered in on the Yellow Pikachu 3DSXL - even though I don't even really play it much). The digital download I think is really the difference maker for me. I could deal with digital downloads in a $199 or $249 black friday bundle and not really care. But $299 with digital download is basically only a $50 drop. At least it gives the next sale a lower starting point. It definitely helps the bottom line on any black friday deals, but I've said before I'm not buying until Wii-U gets more taken off...
