The Iphone has become a fantastic gaming machine. A lot of the games cost 99 cents or a couple of bucks and offer a ton of gameplay. I wish I had the money to get one. :(
I kinda like the new Doodle Devil.Head_of_gamesi did too but when I got to a point where I had 80 elements and had zero idea of what to combine I lost interest
For people too lazy to watch the video, he actually likes the iPhone as a gaming platform. I'm inclined to agree with him.
As an iPhone owner im telling you gaming on it sucks. It's fun for around 10 minutes then you never want to play ever again. The Iphone has become a fantastic gaming machine. A lot of the games cost 99 cents or a couple of bucks and offer a ton of gameplay. I wish I had the money to get one. :(

As an iphone owner, i'd disagree with you.
The sad thing is that most of these games you could get by just browsing the internet or different variations of those games... they are web based games but instead of a mouse you use your finger.. i swear charging for something that should be free is the most ingenious idea ever.. first microsoft by charging to play online which is doing wonders for their wallets and now apple with these games. Just a quesiton cause i dont use my smartphone for much .. can u PLAY web based games (like from newgrounds or whatever...) on ur smartphone or it doesnt work properly or something??The Iphone has become a fantastic gaming machine. If anything, the iPhone's game library makes the selection and pricing of DSiWare and PSP Mini games look pathetic and ridiculous. The Iphone has become a fantastic gaming machine. what was the last game you bought for it bought as in paid for, doodle devil last one downloaded though was hedgehog launch (was free)Maybe if you don't have a computer where you can get the same or better games free. It's a portable device that fits in people's pockets and is carried with them everywhere they go; I assume most people probably play iPhone games on the go. (Although some, like Game Dev Story, are pretty much impossible to let go of)[QUOTE="speedfreak48t5p"]

(Although some, like Game Dev Story, are pretty much impossible to let go of)Yea but I've graduated beyond those kind's of games to complex RPG's and action titles offered by PSP and DS. Even if I hadn't I'd probably prefer using a notebook for on the go gaming, since it's cheaper, faster, and likely controls better considering you have buttons.[QUOTE="Vaasman"]

..
Yes you can play these games on a PC (Bloons is free as are variations of Angry Birds) but the price is borderline irrelevant at 99c for your average game. Thing is though your iphone is more attached to your hip then your computer. If your a big commuter when going to work, bored in lectures, waiting for something to get ready (or load). Just overall have 5 min to kill iPhone games can provide an incredible amount of entertainment...
Gamers are often very hypocritical and generally like to take s***s all over the device due to casualization and simplicity (Overall I never really got the simplicity argument as simple =/= "unfun") . If you actually gave it a fair shot there is a lot of fun to be had. Please Log In to post.
