lol, Conduit, now we're hyping "grinder", whatever that isEazyD91It's a Killing Floor clone. It actually looks pretty decent. And this coming from someone who thought that the Conduit was an ugly piece of garbage.
[QUOTE="Silenthps"][QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"] Who cares? What, he can't form an opinion on the system? I don't understand why you care really. Especially sence he adds depth to his arguements on why he does not like the system so its not like hes just bashing it out of pure fanboyism.blue_hazy_basicI kind of just told you why I cared. It's repetitive, which makes it boring. His reviews should try bringing something new to the table instead of every wii game he reviews basically being the same thing where half the vid is bashing the wii and a small percent being on reviewing the actual game. Maybe its not anti-wii fanboyism? Maybe alot of people honestly don't enjoy what the Wii has to offer and Wii fanboys can't accept that and its their fanboyism, not his, thats the problem?Well its a good thing you put in a Maybe which doesn't make you totally wrong. But anyway's, it's not about really about anti-wii fanboyism. its about him not being funny or new or original or witty or anything that makes his reviews good when in all his wii reviews the majority of the time he talks about how he hates the wii.

How is "maybe" wrong? Lots of people don't like the wii, go have a look at any gaming forum. Its not wrong its true. The fact is you are blinded by your own prejudices and then have the cheek to accuse other people of it. Check my blog. I have a wii, I was very excited to get one, I relly enjoyed it initially. I haven't turned it on in 6 months. How am I being a fanboy by saying what it has doesn't excite me at all? I'm primarily a PC gamer and its totally not my scene.
Like all his other videos, he makes good points but he fails at what he is trying to be: funny. That's just my opinion though. I will admit that was better than his other recent ones. I did chuckle once.
I have spent as much time with dual anolog as i have with IR (well, actually more with dual anolog), and i have to say, IR is better. At first it is a little weird (but so was dual anolog), but you pick it up much faster than Dual anolog, and the end result is better.

Yeah, there really isnt enough bad that you can say about the conduit. Everything in that game, just sucks besides the controls. The online, lol, i just waited to see how long it would take to get a match going. 2 times i tried. 45 minutes, and still nothing. I couldnt even believe it. Not only that but when your trying to find a match it wont let you leave the lobby, so if its taking absolutely forever, which it will, your only option is to turn the system off.

No, he's an anti-mainstream-or-hyped-game fanboy. Sure, from time to time he'll like a game to maintain a semblance of credibility, but he's a comedian, not a reviewer. When he's right he's very right, and when he's wrong it's almost silly.

Exactly how? Please tell me how making the minority that doesn't like a popular game happy by just bashing mainstream games makes him better than anyone?
I'll believe you someday, as of now, I don't, I need to play more shooters on the Wii, LOL.I have spent as much time with dual anolog as i have with IR (well, actually more with dual anolog), and i have to say, IR is better. At first it is a little weird (but so was dual anolog), but you pick it up much faster than Dual anolog, and the end result is better.

I will never understand why people think Wii FPS controls are better the gamepad controls or even comparable to M/K controls. Yatzee sums it perfectly pretty much.
Because the wii-mote crap all over Dual analog for FPSes? His problems are because he isn't used to the control scheme (and he's a confesed wii hater). Just like someone who isn't used to dual analog will keep staring at the floor and the ceiling most of the time.
Or maybe its because the controls themselfs are aren't very good? I find it hard to believe that with all the customization options he couldn't get the dead zone down to a point where he DIDN'T have to aim off screen to turn. That is the only thing in the review that sounded like unwarranted hate.[QUOTE="789shadow"]

Based on what? Do you have any proof that could stand up in court? All you or anyone has to back that up is what police refer to as "circumstantial evidence". It is sad that you've jumped onto something fanboys use as ammo or damage control.

for a game as bad as the conduit, i was expecting him to rip the game to shreds yet i don't think i heard one thing in his review that hasn't been said before in average conduit hating threads BEFORE the game even came out.

He just told you, the Batman:AA/Eidos fiasco. Or the kane and lynch fiasco here at gamespot?
[QUOTE="mexicangordo"]The Wii gets a ton of hate even though it has some genuinely good games, it's more or less the halo GEOW COD crowd who's ages range from 12-18 and who's maturity ranks somewhere around an 8 year old's who hate on the Wii, I don't take it to heart, they are just too immature to pick up a game with any ounce of colour and lacking of blood and guns. No offense to yahtzee but he has incredibly bad taste in games, Conduit not that great but the games he does seem to like (painkiller, Bioshock, and COJ) aren't all too great either, also he claims himself to be a mighty PC gamer but he rarely picks up a PC exclusive game to review, why not? Also why does he continue bashing the wii and playing some of it's worst games and using that as a basis to judge the console on?I can't believe theres people saying "excellent review" or "hit it on the nail." Most people here havn't even played the Conduit, and although the game wasn't so great, he shows his fanboyism way to much when it comes to Wii games. I still enjoy his reviews for entertainment but i really do dislike his Wii reviews. It just somes like its filled with fanboy hate rather than funny points/satire.

My friend, ZP didn't hit the nail on the head. You did. (Though I actually like The Conduit)

He isn't a member of a "professional" review site. Many "professional" reviews are influenced directly by the developers and publishers. Just look at the Batman:AA/Eidos fiasco. He reviews games that are given to him by the Escapist. He tells it like it is. He is biased like any reviewer, but can at least be impartial about when he recommends it or not.
Have you seen his Gears 2 review? He rec-o-mends the game. Aside from Halo 3, it doesn't get any more mainstream and "casual." He recommends any game he thinks gamers would like and encourages gamers to avoid games that are bad. He calls out all the issues in all games, good or bad and will make a recommendation no matter how many complaints there are if he thinks its worth playing.
He hates multiplayer, hates bad friendly-AI, constantly bashes the Gears-styIe cover gameplay... yet still recommends people play it.kaealy

Can you prove any of it? You can point out a bunch of coincidences, nothing else.

Isn't bolding the sentence I'm referring to enough? Do I have to color it in flourescent pink?

Kane & Lynch, Tomb Raider: Underworld and now Batman: Arkham Asylum. Just coincidences.

Which proves that Eidos is delaying the release of poor scores, not forcing anyone to actually give a good score.

Also why does he continue bashing the wii and playing some of it's worst games and using that as a basis to judge the console on? I'm 29 years old and I see the wii as a toy that I take out when company is over. I play fighters, shooters, party games, sports etc. The 360 offers me all I need (PS3 is a great alternate). Most of the people I work with also favor 360/PS3, and they all range from 22-60.I don't think Wii-remote is comparable to keyboard/mouse controls in terms of accuracy, but it beats all other control schemes in realism (and fun too, depending on if you like it or not).I will never understand why people think Wii FPS controls are better the gamepad controls or even comparable to M/K controls. JangoWuzHere
I personally don't get why people like dual analog over Wii-remote. Dual analog is neither more accurate or more fun than a Wii-remote. It's like choosing between pointing at your target or moving a stick to point at your target. I trust my own arm more than I do an analog stick.
[QUOTE="loco145"]That's fine and all, but what does that have to do with Wii's fps controls? And what RTS games are you talking about? Oh and unlike alot of analog controls, where you merly have to adjust sensitivity, you have to tweak fps games on the wii to perfection, which is a hassle already, it just provest hat wii motion controls has problems adapting to a large adience hwne it comes to FPS. The only problem with it is the human problem. Each person is different. Halo has sensitivity settings, Wii just takes it too a level that allows me to play at a level I want too.[QUOTE="Communistsheep"]I don't like the wii mote because i a. Don't like waggling my arms around like a bloody fool. Nor do i accept using waglle because it's implemented badly in alot of games, real time strategy and fighting games come to mind. You may denote any counter arguement, it's liek you saying analog is bad because of aim assist.Communistsheep
