Cool, could be interesting but I dunno, we'll see how it all comes together before getting even a little hyped. :P
It's sounding similar to Dead State, although Dead State has got more talent and solid gameplay behind it, and will probably be a much better game than this one.PlaneforgerI give this a 100% likelihood.
Let's just hope they don't make it like Dead Rising 2. Stick a time limit on your head, have to return to your sick daughter all the damn time with some "Zombrex" and make the game less about exploring and more about completing the stupid objectives that you don't care about.DragonfireXZ95couldnt agree more. if if wasnt for those things u mentioned i would soo love this game.

MMO's on consoles are a fail from the start.
Wii4Fun
Yeah, sure. Being a PC gamer and all, you'd say that.
Anyways, I hope they make the game really good.
I'm betting next gen is going to have some great console MMOs.
I dont have to be a PC gamer to know proper MMO's never come to consoles. MMO's on consoles are just like playing a singleplayer game but online... Their is nothing massive about them. Champions online and ABP had console in mind and they failed because of the limitations of using a controller. DC Universe got a 7.0 and no1 will be playing it by the end of the year. Fact is free MMO's on PC are much more successful then high budget MMO's on consoles. Its not an MMO thats coming out on live arcade its a single player game and a test of ideas for a future MMO that might never happen.Duckyindiana
Funny how your comment got ignored.
Sound interesting. I'm not into the turn-based Dead State, so something real-time and more action-based like Cl@ss3 would be cool. Open world is nice. And the idea that I have maintain and fortify a base would be interesting.

Just saying. This could redefine console MMOs. It's improbable, but not impossible. This could be the game that opens up the console MMO genre.
Edit: And apparently it isn't an MMO, but just testing ideas. Well, it could still be the key to future console MMOs.
Only if you completely lack imagination. There is literally nothing stopping someone from making a great MMO on consoles. You only need a keyboard/mouse for the current MMOs, because they were designed around one. I could design an incredible MMO that's console only.MMO's on consoles are a fail from the start.

This. Most console MMOs fail because they are ports of MMOs designed for the PC. If there was an MMO designed solely for a console & its controller, I don't see why they couldn't work. I guess they would have to be simpler, but some of the best MMOs I've played have been simple F2P MMOs. Unfortunately, those MMOs were so great because of their great communities.
Great communities is something Xbox Live & PSN aren't renowned for. One being full of loud, rude & racist kids/teens (with sprinkles of good folk) & the other like a town haunted by ghosts & everyone's boarded up in their homes, too afraid to leave & speak with anyone (...stupid analogy for "barely anyone with mics"). It's 2AM here in Australia, that's the best I've got for now.

Since there aren't alot of buttons like a keyboard, they can make it more fast paced and action-oriented instead of skill-based for example.
(By skills I mean those little things you click on to do special moves in PC MMOs.)
Plus next gen, having alot of ram (1-2 GBs, enough for a console) is going to be important for the gaming companies.
Is this fps or tps?... let hope this isn't like dead rising 2(one of the worst experiences last year, couldn't bring myself to finish that.) Undead nightmare+ open world online and I might bite.lbjkurono23pretty sure tps from what i've read about it (post last night iirc) If done right, this game should be amazing.
This is going to completely and utterly kill WoW.
-Unreal-
Without even being on the same platform. Now that would be a feat.

the community issue is what you have rightly raised for consoles. consoles gamers (myself included) are pretty fickle, there is a strong tendency for gamers to move en masse when a new game is released. usually a loyal fanbase will stick to a title for some time but unless its COD or Halo the multiplayer userbase can be pretty low even after just a year after release. Please Log In to post.
