This series has had many villains. Some appear more often than others. Who was your favorite?
Call me old fashioned but I'm going to say Dracula. He epitomizes the series. I have many memories of defeating many different Draculas. My favorite was probably the Dracula in Castlevania 2. It was the first game I beat, even though Drac was ridiculously easy.

whoa the first game you ever beat was Castlevania 2? man it took me forever to figure out what to do at some parts in that game.......like holding down on the joypad at a particular part of the game.....

I was just a little kid and it took me a month to figure out how to crouch at the cliff so the mystical tornado would carry me to Bodley mansion.
I have a hard time deciding between Death and Dracula.
Each has had so many different looks over the span of the series.
I think Death is really interesting because in Castlevania 64 and Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (also for N64) he had wings that resembled those an angel. I found that interesting because it really showed him as the Angel of Death (perhaps I read into my games too much, but I can't help it). Another game where Death was really interesting was Castlevania: Lament of Innocence--a game where we all saw more of what Death than we really wanted to (not seeing in terms of encountering him, just seeing more of what he looked like).
My personal favorite villian (not boss, villians would be reoccuring characters in the series) would have to be Death, while i've always found dracula to be impressive, death usually looks more impressive, exspecially when he has two forms. The second form is usually totally different and compleatly unexpected.

Not to harp on your favorite boss ... but i really hate her voice actress.
I like Death especially in SCV4. His animations are awesome and he is very challenging. Then after you beat him you get the creepy music with the torches lighting...
Huh???? Alucard isn't a villain. Granted, you fight him in Castlevania 3, but that was only to test Trevor's powers. A villain suggests that the character is evil, which all of the characters mentioned are.
Anyhow, for my 2 cents, Death is my favorite. He's too cool and been in every Castlevania game so far. The battle with him has spanned from incredibly easy to very difficult.
