I love how they say the series started with the NES title, when in fact it started on the MSX in 1986 ... at least full year before the domestic NES release. You guys at gamespot are supposed to be professional journalists, do some bloody research before you shoot your mouths off. But, on the very bright optimistic side Igarashi said he has plans for the series's 20th anniversary next year. Could this be the anniversary compilation we were hoping for, or will it just be some mildly collectable anniversary edition something?

If it is an anneversary collection thar Igarashi is cooking up I can see Konami pissing on us by putting Chi no Rondo on the Japanese version, but leaving us with Dracula X on the North American version. = / ... it's kind of sad that i can make my mind work like that.

I was sad when I learned that one of my favorite Castlevania is in fact a "port". Some levels were completely redesigned, the quality of the graphics were considerably lowered, and many other elements were completely taken out of the game.
I got my copy off Ebay, that and specialty game shops are the only legitimate places you're liable to find that game. If you can find an image of the game you can easily make your own copy if you have a turbo duo, and i'm sure there's programs that will allow you to emulate turbo duo games, it really is a great game.
