This is incredible news. After Konami mysteriously asked that the ISO of only Rondo not be distributed, I expected to get a port of Rondo eventually. This is much more than I ever dreamed of. Not sure how much I like the new Richter. Kinda looks Soma-ish. The anime style of the original Rondo was pretty good. I do like the new Maria. Seeing her as a younger version of the Symphony Maria is much more believable than the original anime design. Complaints aside, this is shaping up to be 9 kinds of awesome. A remake of Rondo, Rondo itself, & the Saturn version of Symphony with a new translation all on one disc. My only regret is that it's on the PSP so I won't be able to enjoy all of the beauty on a larger screen.venus577I agree with you 100% Even though the original Japanese version of Rondo of Blood and the Sega Saturn version of Symphony of the Night are going to be availible on there as unlockables, there's definitely no doubt that this game is going to get a 9, because of the fact that Richter kinda looks Soma-ish, and maybe some other flaws, but I still have very high hopes for this hopefully very awesome port of Rondo of Blood :D
I was pretty amazed to hear about this. It seems all of those who have been desperately wanting to play Rondo of Blood will finally get to (in the form of a remake, at least). I thought it would be interesting to see a CV game end up like this, side scrolling but in 3-D. For a long time, I even imagined what a 3-D remake of Symphony would be like. Now, if only a CV game would come out that wouldn't make me buy a handheld in order to play it, I'd be content.
It seems this will be another reason to get a PSP.
Oh, I thought I was the only one who doesn't have a PSP. I really want one now!!I was pretty amazed to hear about this.

I would be happy to get Symphony of the night. I have it for PS but it's sealed. I have never played Rondo, but here that it's good.Â
I think this is Konami's way of saying thanks. Im so glad they included the remake and original but why didnt they include XX (X here in the us; yeah, thats right i own the snes version, i feel special) and i am very glad they threw in SOTN. This will be the greatest travel game ever.falconclanThey didn't include the SNES version, because that version of it was just absolutely terrible, and wasn't a direct and complete port of the Japanese game, according to the Castlevania Dungeon!

You are correct Gamerdude07. Dracula XX really didn't resemble Dracula X at all. There were far fewer alternate stages. The ability to play as Maria was gone. Two of the captured girls were removed along with the dark priest Shaft. Level design got far more simple. And, by far the worst change, the difficulty approach was far more lazy. Armor Knights & Spear Guards were EVERYWHERE. Not know how to make a game difficult? Just put one of the most annoying enemies everywhere in the game. The final battle with Dracula also shot up in difficulty, as you now have to fight both forms on uneven pillars where most falls will send you into a bottomless pit for an instant death. Bleh!

I have castlevania dracula X and i find it very fun. Sure, its not rondo of blood but it is another classic castlevania. I guess im the only one who would choose CVX over CVIV any day.
