Sweet JEZUZ!!!! Look at this thing!

An arcade cabinet for yet-unreleased Castlevania arcade title Akumjao Dracula THE ARCADE!

This thing looks so freaking cool, I wanna cry, because there is a low chance that we will even get to play this thing.

 This is going to cost me thousands!

arcades in the US kinda do blow...here, we have Sega which is basically a large arcade with tons of Sega games in it. we have Dragon Palace which have a large assortment of games. those place, and pachinkos have a ton of gambling games like slot machines. all of them are very common, well known areas for hanging out.

when i went to the states...they had all these OLD games and it was kinda depressing. i read an article stating that since video games are in the home...nobody goes to arcades anymore in the US. so when i have to leave Japan...its one of the many things im going to miss.

also...i wonder how this game plays

If not her, its at least a very similar style.

Oi , hush, you do understand that your living in japan requires you to play and record the entire game, yes?

EDIT: Video of said cabinet

Pay attention to underneath where the screen would be when he walks around in the video, you can see all the candles the dude was writing about in the article. It looks freaking sweet!

@ Semi: Thanks for posting that short clip, I totally favorited it just now

@ DJ: Thanks... my friend saw it first... I totally pushed him aside after I saw this on Kotaku

@ Hush: Semi is right... you better take that thing with you when you come back here... i'm sure no one would notice... ;)

So I found a comment, that was one of my 1st thought and I could not agree more when I saw this arcade thingy... I quoted the comment of one of the members in kotaku.com (BelmonHeir, obvious a CV fan)

...I think the backlash against this game is, in fact, warranted - or at least not surprising. Castlevania fans have been clamoring for years and *years* for a Castlevania console game that delivers a similar experience (re: a similar awesomeness) as the 2-D handheld games. The Wii comes out and opens up the opportunity for some sweet motion-sensing whip action. And, instead...we get a 3-D fighting game with horrendous character designs that somehow manage to out-buckle the Kingdom Hearts cast. To add insult to injury, Konami goes and releases a Castlevania arcade cabinet which is apparently awesome and which, coincidentally, uses a motion-sensing whip controller(!).

I mean.. c`mon!!! I get WTH?!?! about really few thing in videogame world... but C`mon :? I mean why no doing this for teh Wii??

I even made a thread about it in the wii forum, this have me all :(

JP gets (again) an exclusive CV and this time we have teh way of getting the game if they would like to.. (tru WiiWare or VC or whatever...) but no news are said about it... Just another arcade that we would not get..

Maybe I`m being neg today, maybe I`m tired... how kows we may hear a GREAT surprise soon, eventually.. but I`m not yping about it, nor hoping anything... specially now that we have 2 NA CV release (I LOVE OoE, and would enjoy some CV:J) but getting this one at some point would be great..

..........

@Hush: :D Thx :D (I`ll added it to the guide at some point)

@Omega: at least you play it... I have not and I would love to...

this actually reminds me of a samurai game i played(in an arcade) you take a sword an swing it at the screen....pics up motion...yada yada...fun stuff. theres even one where you are a cop...and you have to move your body around to dodge enemy fire...good workout.

but this mess is two player...sweet...maybe i can finally turn my friends into CV fans as well

If it uses a motion-sensing whip controller, maybe it'll get ported to Wii? If it does, it'll probably not be until 2013 tho...

US arcades dont suck it just depends on where u live of course the best ones are in the various china towns arcoss the US. Chances are if the game does come here it wil be in the form of a wii game not an arcade game

oh yea.. the article said that is "comming soon" but we do not now when. You would be there in summer so :)

Do not go to some shady arcade place (that is like saying bad/adngerous neighbordhood, right? ) we do not want that anything bad happens to you :) our JP representative :) It would go to the one close to you eventually or to a no-shady one :)

yeah, Japanese games are 100yen (depending on the exchange rate...its less than a dolla) to play. an some games have special card/keys that go to the game an can save your data...so thats an extra 300-500 yen(i have a bunch of cards an car keys for racing games).

the shady place just seem shady but there games are only 50yen to play. but i'd hate to get into a fight or something...an people start losin pinky fingers...:?

but yeah...im gonna be haunting around arcades waiting for this game. i hope they have a card of something so you can keep your data...so if you leave an comeback...put in that card, an you can be right where you left off
