My interest in the series started with the first one on the NES. Then came the 2nd one, which to me was a great game, but impossible to beat (I've actually never beaten CVII).
But what got me totally hooked on the series was CV III. III was the sequel i was really hoping II would have been.
Then came IV and then SotN, which are both beyond absolutely amazing.
III hooked me, and I never looked back.

Which game made you the CV fan you are today?

Castlevania Adventures on the Game Boy, it was my first one an i loved it.

an once in awhile i played a cv on the nes an the 64.

then, the spark of my love for CV happened with a little bit of Game Boy Advanced an Cotm, followed by HoD an AoS. then i was all over it like white on rice

I played a lot of them, Super Castlevania VI, Castlevania 64, but it was actually SotN that really got me into the CV series! 8)

I think that it was CV III for me as well...it was really hard but I loved it..:D

And then CotM made me fall in love all over again... after that one I got all others of GBA and well... now I own them all...

and my last love was PoR.. :D:D I felt in love everytime I have a new CV game :P

I was playing CV2, bc i`m not sure I beat that game before, even tus I used to have it. But I decided to make a pause and focus on Wii games and then VC games ... So by June I would have pass that game.. even if I need to read the faqs, bc that transalation/clue makes no sense

my first CV game was Belmont's Revenge for gameboy, and i really liked that. later i got CV64... then CotM and HoD, which i all liked as well. so i kind of gradually grew fond of the series. but i wouldn't say i was "hooked" until AoS

and btw chang... when CotM first came out, there was just the regular GBA with no back-light, and it was really hard to see stuff on the screen sometimes. thus the squinting

Castlevania 2, the first I've ever played, unfortunately I can't finish it because it was borrowed. And my first castlevania (the first I owned) was Circle of the Moon, after I finished the game one thing become clear, Castlevania it's the best series in the world.

Honestly, I just started with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, arguably the best Castlevania game ever. Since then, I've played every possible Castlevania I could play. And because I don't have a GBA, I only played the console CVs (Curse of Darkness, Lament of Innocence, SotN) until I had a PSP, which paved way to me playing CV: DXC.

CoD was a bore-fest and its only great aspect was the boss battles which were so good, they make up for the rest of the game itself.
