I would like to Read everyone's opinion on which boss they found the hardest, and why.

Legion+Nuculais and Dracula's second form get my vote.

I assume you're talking about COD right?

Forgotton One from LoI- he wasn't so bad with Leon, but with Joachim it was impossible.  I just basically suck at anything that is poisonous in a game.....which leads me to Beelzebub in SotN as well.

CV III- Death is extremely hard- usually we're talking the usual sythes he throws, but it's much more difficult in this game...

Dracula from CotM (2nd form)...I just needed to level up more, one of his shots can take you down completely.

Death from Castlevania 1 is crazy without using the holy water trick, and I also hate fighting Death from Dracula X (SNES). I thought Dracula in COTM had a very predictable pattern myself, but maybe that's just me.

I was talking about CoD,but that and the Double pack(GBA) are the only ones I have played and Own.

Death was pretty hard in CoD,but does not compare to the bosses above.

Plus he is more cool than hard.

You know, I never looked up any CV1 cheats and finally saw the speedrun a couple of months ago.  I was clueless about the holy water trick on Death- I was using the cross the entire time. How humiliating..

I got sick of using the cross and figured there had to be a better way, and I ended up figuring out the holy water trick without help. Also, that speedrun was pretty amazing if you ask me.

I personally havent found any boss hard. Perhaps the hardest challenge fr me was defeating Galamoth with bare hands and no spells or tricks. Only transformations allowed

Well i had to train for a bit to beat the final transformation of Dracula on CV curse of Darkness. His first form was really easy, could of been a normal enemy..:P but his last form had powerful attack's and took me out quickly untill i trained and kicked his @

Do you remember the poison armor from Circle of the Moon? That was one of the more aggravating creatures- actually when I think about it, there were A LOT of challenging enemies in CotM- which made it such an enjoyable game!

I never use that. If i did then Galamoth is nothing but a skeleton like monster. Just try what i did. It took me 35 mins to bring down his 10000 HP

I'll give it a 7.  It was not a really hard game, it's just that controls are frustrating (Richter feels like NES Belmont)

My hubby surprised me with DracX a few days ago! :) (Just the reg SNES version).  I think I'm losing my gaming chops, but so far, I'm finding this game to be quite challenging in places.  This is one of the harder titles for me.  You're right about Richter- his jumping is all over the place :P

You mean Abaddon (or something like that..), yeah, he is pretty hard but with the Persephone soul it should not be a problem.

How far have you gotten in it yet? As far as it's difficulty is concerned, my only advice is don't be afraid to use item crash. It can save you from a lot of bad situations.

Thanks for the tip there, I really appreciate it! I forget to use it most of the time. :) I'm on level 5 Inner Sanctum (I'm assuming there's another level 4 and 5, since I fell down in the pillars on level 3).  I keep hearing things about multiple endings, which leads me to believe I'm probably on the path to the worst one! The bosses haven't been giving me too much of a problem yet, just the fact there's a lot of multiple things going on.

To get the best ending, you have to make it past the pillars in level 3. I suggest using the axe on the bone pillars from a safe distance. After that you have to find and keep a key and go through a locked door, followed by finding another key and going through another door to save maria, followed by finding a secret path to save annette.
I don't remember which levels exactly, but I rememeber it being hard.

Level 6 is by far the hardest level, but on the path your on you'll fight a weird skull thing with eyes as the boss instead of Death. That alone will save your sanity.

Ok there's a lot more to this game than I realized.  The pillars in level 3 if I remember had medusa heads as well? I think that was causing major problems (as they always do  ).  What I'm surprised about it that Richter's jumping is downright terrible, which adds to the frustration...

Thanks so much for the tips ainge! I'll put them to good use! :)

COTM is the hardest CV for me. It's one of my favorite games in the series, and the difficulty was quite a shock after playing the easy but great SOTN.

well i still havent beat drac in the first one, only being able to get killed in four hits and having to fight two forms in a row sucks. that giant corpse thing fromSotnthat dropped poison maggots and sentgiant flies afteryou was annoying. just about any boss fromCotm except for death and cerebus. andbalore and death in AoS killed me it seemed like a million times eachthe first time but after that they were cake when i would fight themagain. those are my hardest ever picks

The entire original Castlevania on NES is the hardest CV game I have ever played.

In CV III the hardest bosses is those f****ng mummies and Dracula.

And I hate Galamoth in SotN, toke me like 5h and countless elixirs to finally beat him. :p The rest of the game was very easy.

All the new games on the DS is very, very easy compared to the CV:s on NES.

I DID!!!!! YAY!!! i did it a couple of days ago... i did when i was a younger.. but i did it again..and is so fresh in my memory....

no... i do not get tired of saying that.....

Anyway..... yeap.... no healing, easy save points.. a quality of old-school.. that is what makes a game a OLD SCHOOL... and what makes hardcores, a hardcore..... imo... this lil crazy, hard games without cheats :D:D

Also i just notice that i miss read this thread (i thought we had a topic about this and that it was this one... but is not.. this one is about the HARDEST BOSS IN CV???? sorry  so lets talk here about:

WHICH ONE IS YOUR HARDEST CV GAME???

WHICH BOSS DID YOU FIND THE HARDEST (specified game)????
