...the CV on the Commodore was horrible. I don't understand why you would possibly want to play CV1, smacked around by the stupid stick. Looks horrible, plays slowly, the music is all one channel so sound effects cancel out music.

Now, if you were to talk about the MSX CV's, thats different.
I've played it on an emulator, but it wasn't emulated right and ran extremely fast. Also it's strange because the game doesn't scroll from left to right, instead it's like a bunch of rooms.

Anyway, yeah, MSX Castlevania (aka Vampire Killer) is actually supposed to be fast... yeah, the msx was known for having games that didn't scroll... Contra, Vampire Killer, and Metal Gear to name a few.

i think a commodore64 is one of the only systems i never owned or play, so i never played cv on there. but i have played the msx one a bunch of times and i like that one more than the nes one in most cases. i wish theyd get an msx emulator on the wii. i wanna play some of the weird stuff like la-mulana.
What I'm wondering is why over many other rare and better consoles, Nintendo would release Commodore64 games on the VC.ChapstheF0rtune

I just have to say this... Vampire Killer is dumb-difficult! Just a few lives... no continues. The key searching is also quite tedious... anyhowwww.... with that aside, it's a great game,a dn you should all take the time to try it.

I love how this topic continues to be resurrected pretty much a month after the previous post. Personally a bit more commical than the Commodore64 games for the VC.
