Emulator & Contra for PC??

Ok you guys I need help again with contra,

If you have read my BLASPHEMY thread (long story short: I had no idea what Contra was when I joined and now I know that I have no consoles that have contra games for them) you will understand why I ask this:

Is there an emulator that I could run on my PC and use an image of one of teh Contra games to play it on my PC?

You want them to be: Quality, Roms, and dot com, whatever "dot com" means ;)

or maybe v, i, double m, dot net whatever the hell that means ;)
