So do you normally just have one guy (quite possibly just the leader) posting all the new topics? Or do you have a fair few posting them which keeps it varied?

I'd be lucky to get either these days.

I end up making a good many threads, but I don't dominate the board.

Yeah making a lot of threads in one go kinda leaves you dry out of threads. Best to spread them out so you can stretch you ideas a bit more and keep activity consistant.

I'd say I make ~2/3 of them.

I prefer to have a variety. I don't think it looks very good to new members to have one username plastered all over the board.

That's why you do it in moderation. The most popular threads have various makers, but you create new threads that might not last as long to give new topics.

Yeah and plus when you make a load of new topics at once. You kinda run dry out of ideas/news for new ones.

and people can ignore it for their favs. >_> I hate when a good topic doesn't get a decent amount of discussion.

I also find that if it's the same person making topics over and over, I'm less inclined to even read them. More often than not the opening post contains a link to an article and a few words, not exactly inspiring conversation.

That depends on the thread maker.
