1. Originality: Your text must be original, just because the picture isn't doesn't mean that you don't have to be
2. Professionalism: I'm not asking you to be a photo-shop god, but it has to look decent, keep the text readable (I used a size 9 Fixedsys font in GIMP while making the ad) and the text must be within the speech bubbles, no overlap. Also spelling and grammar aren't a deal breaker, I understand that English may not necessarily be a first language for some, but keep in mind I have to be able to understand what you've written, so try your best.
3. Also, here's a guide on how to be funny and not just stupid. Although it was intended for the Uncyclopedia, I feel that much of what it says applies here as well.
4. The size of the original image was 448x648, I want the edited image to be the same size.
I understand that not everyone has Photo-Shop (I don't) and it is possible (not recommended) to do this in a program like MS Paint. I suggest GIMP (horrible name, good software), it's an open source (Free) alternative to Photo-Shop. A simple project like this ought to be enough to get you acquainted with it. Not quite as user friendly as Photo-Shop, but there is an add-on called GIMP Shop that supposedly makes it easier. I haven't played around with it, but I hear good things. You're on your own for GIMP Shop, I use GIMP as it is.
The Windows version of GIMP is available here
Just be to install the GTK 2 Runtime environment first and then install GIMP
Oh and if anyone is using Mac or some Linux derivation and needs help finding a GIMP for them, post on the comments board, and I'll do my best to help out. I don't want anyone excluded because of their OS.
Anyway, here's the image

Oh yeah, it's a winner. Do your best to make it (more?) interesting. Copy and paste it into your photo editor of choice and get to it. Next post your image to this forum and I'll judge them. I recommend uploading them to some place like Photo Bucket, and then inserting the images into your post. That's what I did, it works. Also please post only completed works here, no comments. Save those for the comments section of the update I'll put at the front page of this union, located here. If anyone has any questions PM me.
Being the nice guy that I am, I've written a little tutorial on GIMP for you guys, it's available here.
Oh and LadyEboshi offered to help me judge, I've taken her up on it. So now we have two judges, just keeping you guys up to date.
