I thought it was a bit short compared to the Amalur demo, you only go through two missions. Shooting mechanics were solid, and I liked that as a Vanguard I could pick up an assault rifle and fire it. Levelling screens are easy to navigate. Think I will go through again as a couple of other cIasses to see what it's like.
ME characters in my demo were Ashley, Wrex, Garrus, Liara, Anderson, and Mordin.
I have not, I am not planning on doing so either as I will try and keep Mass Effect 3 fresh. It would bug me knowing part of the story and also it keeps the game a supprise for when it arrives.

The way that you transition between running and moving to ladders and other small movement stuff like that seems pretty rough, it works it just isn't very fluid. The multiplayer however is actually surprising compelling.

The Kinect features?

If they are done well then I am fine with them in the game, it's optional and gives a different approach to the game.

Garfield, did Shepard's fatigue ever bother you? It did me, because he couldn't run any further in civilian clothes than in armor.

I did not really notice that in Mass Effect 2, not sure with the third game but with the second I tended not to run that much as I would move around cover appart from certain sections where speed was needed.

Kinnect is a massive gimmick and a direction I seriously hope gaming is not going, long term.

Well if it opens up gaming to more people, then I am on board. The Wii was seen as a gimmick and turned out to be the best selling console so far this generation of hardware. As long as there is a choice I am happy and do not see why both standard controllers and other options can not live side by side, rather than forcing one or the other out of gaming.

I have ventured forth for the first couple of mission or task on the SP campaign and see some minor mechanic changes but nothing drastic (THANK GOODNESS) and played one round of the GoW Hoarde like MP.

I plan on hooking up this weekend with my best gaming bud to do some MP together on the demo and intend on playing the demo through to get a better perspective.

Will pass on more thoughts later after some serious "evaluation" of the demo...

As long as traditional controllers remain the focus of gameplay for consoles, I may agree with you. The trend started by wii and jumped on by microsoft and soiny worries me a little, especially is you consider the WiiU's controller is nothing more than a massive slab.

There will presumably be a high demand for games with traditional controllers, out of however many millions of xbox consoles sold there are 10 million kinect controllers, so there is a demand for both but that does not mean one has to disapear due to the other.

But back on topic it sounds like people are enjoying the Mass Effect 3 demo, Benny likes it from what he was telling me but I am still not giving the demo a go as its only two weeks on Friday till release and I would rather just avoid spoiling as little as I can with that game.

Nope. I'm waiting for the full game. I don't wanna spoil any part of the story.
