Starcraft and Warcraft series... two great series of games which offered excellent gameplay.

Warcraft with a simpler form of Strategy and Starcraft offering advance units and compalicated strategies. This sets both apart and attracts a totally different auidence other then the stories of both games.

I love Blizzard. Granted it was more for Warcraft 3, and Diablo II. But not Starcraft, I can't get into that one. Maybe SCII will prove different.

They can't wait until they ship the game, make sales, get paid and buy Farrari's.

Lots and Lots of Feraris, 'cause that game is going to sell big time. I wonder if any of the units will be nerfed in the future.

Blizzard is a genius........since every month, 15 Euros are taken from my MasterCard Account, and I dont even play the game.Still, its nice to know that I AlWays have the option to start playing WoW.By the way, if anyone here plays that game, give Me a shout and we'll get SomeThing happening.

Nice, I was thinking of trying WOW again, I got a trial a few months ago and liked it but the thought of montly payments puts me off. My friend uses game cards to activate his account on 60 day goes.

Must be worth the money.

Blizzard must of set the standard of MMORPG's if it's that good. I've had that idea of Blizzard reputation when I played the Warcraft 3 games. They always add something new and interesting to the gaming industry.

Time you speak to _Horde. I dunno if servers matter.

I wouldn't play WoW, price is an issue for me. I don't like the subscription rate or the whole buying of game cards thing.

I think the servers are an issue as you have to have started in the same one. However if they create a new character or go into a different mode (i.e. from PVE to PVP) then you can perhaps meet. Same for me with the second part, I dont like to pay to play a game I have already paid for and gamecards that are so short but expensive is an issue for me.

I'm getting used to the way Blizzard Entertainment is using the Norse Myth themes in Warcraft and Diablo.. however it makes there games too simple in my tastes.

I liked how the units in Starcraft are designed. The Protos were really creative. The use of warping units in and the golden metallic designs.

Knowing the Lore is half the enjoyement, and gives The Universe so much more value.....thats why I preffered KOTOR over Mass Effect.

Interesting as Too Human used it. Apparently its good at the end but they needed to implement it better. I can understand why people prefer a game they know the story to, I for one look forward to Lord of the Rings Battlefront as I loved the films and book.

I think some companies just use the Norse myth reference as a easy way out.
I'm shocked at Too Human... They created Valkyire Profile series and that game really was well placed toegether. I haven't played Too Human, however from what I heard, it could of been executed alittle bit better. however it's still a worthy game to play and enjoy.

As to the op; wc3 and sc were pretty sweet. Notice i say 'were' due to blizzard having sold out to vivendi long ago, who since has ruined most everything they've touched from the old games.

Personally i think that WC3 had far more intricate stratagies than SC anyday. Starcraft was a spam war that had everything to do with your macro and almost no micro whatsoever and Warcraft was the total micro and army manipulation duel (altho macro also played a key roll). Starcraft multiplayer was also very linear while wc gave the losing guy a chance with its experiance system and 'creeps.' Starcraft was however older and warcraft3 took alot from the title. Both were good games, but without a doubt warcraft is still the worlds most skill intensive rts and down right most popular rts ever released.

WOW was pretty plain vanilla with little direction, and messed up balance with its character classes fairly early on and never really went anywhere in the top end levels. I really thought that game had alot of potential and played it for a very long time, but i could write a very lengthy book as to major mistake after mistake they made with the title.

I used to be the biggest blizz fanboi you would ever meet, but today i am probly the biggest hater of this corporation you will likely encounter. Blizz is a shell company now riding on the originality and hard work of ages long past and are just sucking dry everything they can get thier hands on from the old corpse. Almost none of the same employees still remain within the company, all their stuff looks like cartoons, and everything they do is dumbed down more and more, with less and less thought or skill required to play thier titles.

Perhaps a microcasm of the industry as a whole.

WC3 was created after SC,... Blizzard always improve and push the boundies for their games. Starcraft 2 may have the RPG element in their games. That would be cool.

I've always hated Blizzard. Hated WarCraft, hated StarCraft. Mostly because I don't like the theme of StarCraft and WarCraft. Way too far out reached, like the ProTess. They're spiders... I can't get into it at all. Not to say it's a bad game. Just not for me.

I have to say that many of my favorite games over the years have been Blizzard created. I love the Warcraft series, the best being WC3. I also liked the balance that Starcraft had. WoW was semi-fun, but i really didn't get past lvl20 before I ended my subscription. I just didn't like the recursive payments.

The one game i am looking REALLY forward to is the new Diablo. They could make it awesome... or it could just blend into all the other junk out there. I'm hoping it's as revolutionary or at least as fun as the original was.
