Official DW5:XL Info, Speculation and Anticipation Thread

Post anything from your thoughts about the upcoming add-on to actual info from Koei to just about anything regarding DW5:XL.

All I know so far is I think it's supposed to bring back CAW, which is awesome, and I'm hoping they make new models for the characters. I never had an add-on before, since I have DW4 for X-Box, and 5 hasn't had one yet, so I don't know if new models is the norm or is highly unlikely.

BTW, mods sticky this if ya want, if not I'll just try to keep it bumped.

I have a question about the Xtreme Legends games. Like C-GHOST, I've never owned or even plaed an Extreme Legends game. So all I want to know is that if your data from DW5 will be transferred to Xtreme Legends?samigarnett

I think that's just hot air, just another way of saying it uses the same ol' Dynasty Warriors engine.

Those are some nice additions, man I really wish that x-box received those through x-box live. That would be awesome. I might have to buy a another PS 2. PS 2 owners get lucky sometimes.

"Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends" will be awesome, because it will feature: "Dynasty Mode" which is where you select a soldier or created soldier and begin on missions where you rank your skills and weapons and than actually join a force like Wei, Shu, Wu, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao, Meng Huo, and Zhang Jiao. "Dynasty Mode" is like the old "Officer Mode" from "Samurai Warriors" in which you create an officer and build your skills up in certain modes of combat, than you would prove yourself to be accepted by either the forces of Wu, Shu, and Wei. Next is the old "Xtreme Mode" which is like "Musou Mode" but with a twist. Anyway "Xtreme Mode" is where you are an officer from forces like Wei, Shu, and Wu which allows you to fight through various missons according to your character, but wait, now there are alternitave endings for each character and level 5 weapons are also availible too. I also heard that "Online Mode" is an option, but I highly doubt that "Koei" programmers can even get online capadibility in this time and day. Who knows if the Playstation 2 system can even handle 4 players on the same screen, let alone 2. Maybe next year if "Dyansty Warriors 6" comes out" but this year it's probably not going to happen, but if it did, that would be f~~king incredible. Don't know if you've seen it or not, but here's the boxart.

Man I can't wait for this game, especially since I rented DW4 Empires (which is GREAT), and this sounds similar to that in some ways, and some more.
