i'd like to thank all the people who helped make it a reality. Harden and JeffSteel who within a few minutes found all kinds of bugs which i immediately smashed. i'm counting on others here to find the rest of the bugs - because they do exist.

i'd also like to thank myself - cause i'm an egomaniac down deep inside.

and i'd also like to thank the DWU and it's illustrious Emperor for bestowing on me the title and Crown, King of Jin. i will server the Empire well.

i'm working on adding a few more features. i've added a memberslist and post count on the home page. the members are listed in order of who has the most posts.

my next major task is to create quick links the the latest posts since your last visit where you have already posted.

yes, just when you think you're shocked along comes a few thousand more volts... i mean amps.... to shock you even harder.

just added anchors into the site. so now when you post a comment, edit a comment, or delete a comment the return link brings you back to the exact chapter entry you were looking at rather than to the beginning of the chapter. should make leaving a comment a lot less frustrating for navigation.

next i'll be taking advantage of those anchors to craete a 'recent posts' section on the homepage and on the member panel.

hey, if you were having trouble with the image verification note that i've now removed 0 and O from the options so they won't appear anymore.

also, if you get the image wrong press the back hyperlink and NOT the back button on your browser. the back button on the browser will use new image verification data without refreshing the actual image! so make sure you use the hyperlink and NOT the back button on your browser.

also make sure you're using only one word for your username and password. putting spaces or illegal symbols will get you rejected. so np < > or - or " or ' or \ or / etc. use letters and numbers.

also remember that virtually all possible usernames are open.

added a new feature that lets you surf the latest comments in the book. there is a list on the bottom left of the homepage. just click on the first one and then on each successive page note the new message on the far left telling you where to find the new entry- plus the handy link underneath that takes you to the next newest comment (which really means the next oldest one..)

next i'll be working on the member panel so you can change your passwords, email addresses, etc.

well, i must say that all websites look better with firefox. i never noticed it before until i started designing this site. fonts look a lot more crisp and Firefox is a lot more forgiving to website developers.Bruneauinfo

from a development standpoint IE is very slow on the uptake with new html and css features. so basically, the fact that people use IE actually keeps those who use the web limited to technology that's as much as three years older. in other words, it may work in FF, Opera, and other browsers, but because it won't work in IE, the one that is used by 70% of all web browsers, web designers can't implement the idea.

another thing i've noticed about IE is that it doesn't render as well. things just aren't as crisp.

here's an excellent way to compare: open gamespot's homepage in IE and then open it again in FF. next, scroll down to the very bottom of the screen on each of the browsers so you're looking at the bottom menu and credits. now bounce back and forth between the two and note how crisp the fonts are for FF versus IE. IE's fonts look fuzzy.

Hmmm, I just tried this little chalenge and I cant really tell any difference as far as picture quiality, but it really dosent matter. IE sucks in every way that matters, so I will avoid using it anyway.
