Picture DW where your best weapon does about as much damage as a feather broom, and Lu Bu is randomly strewn around the level several dozen times as various types of "Ninja".Don't know much about SW or SW 2, except that it's like a Japanese Feudal Age DW

Well, Samurai Warriors has much a much better character development system than DW, where you earn skills that basically amount to having most of the "special" items from DW permanently equipped without taking up item slots, as well as a few totally new abilities (such as automatically blocking all frontal attacks if your not attacking). The "weakness" of the weapons on harder difficulties can be overcome with skills and items, but yes, the ninjas can be a real fracking pain. Also, dont bother getting SW unless your willing to buy its "Extreme Warriors" expansion, as unlike expansions for the DW games, it actually improves the gameplay substantially, though it does so mostly by fixing annoying problems than by new content.JeffSteel

Indeed, I'll take a warrior princess over an angst old geaser any day.

I don't either. His sword is badass, and he'd look like a moron fighting hand-to-hand with a bow. What I would like to see is a more developed, more useful archery component to DW. Or maybe give some characters different missile weapons, like javelins or rocks or some such.
Samurai Warriors might not have as many characters as the Dw games, but what SW missies in characters, it makes up for with outstanding gameplay. I personally cannot wait to get this game.Pharoah103090agreed,it's really great, especially the special moves for each charactor, they make the charactors more unique.

Yes he would, especially considering in the book, he chopped Xiahou Yuan in two at the left shoulder (removing everything about it, including part of the neck and head) with a very heavy broadsword.
You can't do that with a bow....
