Zelda will forever be know as one of the best single player games on the market. I really can't see it doing that well on a multiplayer platforum, but what do i know! You never know what the future will bring !

apparently Phantom Hourglass has some online features, but from what was described it sounds like a really minro type of minigame. One persons link, the other is a monster. Monster protects treasure, Link gets treasure before time runs out. Yes, that simple.....

Nah, I think it will stay one person player..... for now. I own four swords and it was good because it reminded of LttP. The game was easy, but I don't know about the multi-player. Four Swords was a multi-player game that didn't hit off. It wasn't successful because you needed a GBA and hookup, in my opinion. The hookup came with the game, but never used it. They could try again.... time will tell.

obviously, since Miyamoto said that this would be the last zelda being the way it is, we are bound for some change in the series. Nintendo would like to experiment and add a new twist to zelda

Answer to the topic. NO. Zelda was born a single player experience and it should stay that way 4SA was not that good, multiplayer for Zelda feels wrong, it doesn't feel right. PH may have something online - but I doubt that it will be very good.

Adding multiplayer for the sake of just adding multiplayer is a bad idea. If the game lends itself to the design, then yeah. Zelda does not lend itself to the design of mutliplayer, there's a reason 4S won't be coming to the DS...it's because it sold poorly and wasn't received well....because it wasn't that good.

It's like putting peanut butter on a hamburger....sure, you can do it, but why ruin that hamburger just because you can?

i think the reason it sold poorly was because it was 2D on a high powered console....i certainly dont want to pay $50 for a 2D game on the gamecube that (from what i understand) just uses the GBA to gamecube functionality.

Well i think we can trust the makers to make this decision seeing as how it has no bearing on us gamers. I mean if it has multiplayer and it sux the you obviouslly wont drop the whole single player mode and not buy the game, while sometimes mutliplayer might actually drive in more buyers and improve success of the game over all and also nintendo have always done better and better with each installment so i personally have no doubt that if they choose to include it then it will be the right decision.

i agree half way zelda 4s may of not sold well but not lttp/4s it sold incredibly well and four swords was hot at my school. we all would bring our cables and gameboys and start playing 4s. anyway bak to the subject. zelda game out single player and maybe it should stay that way. four swords may of sold poorly but everyone who got it doesn't hate it. If they do make another 4s then they shouldn't use cables. my friends and i could never play cus of the cables. They should make a co op zelda game but no like 4s.

there are some good points here. i like 4SA, i've played through it twice and had the hardware and ppl to play multiplayer with at least 2 ppl on the game - still it wasn't a very fun multiplayer experience.

i like nintendo_ownes idea of a MMO.....you can be anyone except LINK, or ZELDA. That would be cool - just to be characters in a bigger story, and you still do a bunch of stuff and battle and all...everything you do in a zelda game, but you can no longer be link...yet link still exists and everyone knows of him.....i would bite on something like that.

and someone else said they would support n's decision to whatever direction they took it - i agree, usually they make good moves...zelda isn't something they should screw around with too much IMHO
